Pro Grip - Handlebar Grips

After my stock grips went to rubbing off, I decided to get some new ones, I went to my local shop and started browsing. There selection was limited but, I found some nice black with blue inlets, so figured why not. After putting them on, which i had to cut the ends off to allow my bar ends to go on. I went for a ride, they provide excellent grip, and feel good to the hands. Only problem i found was they tend to transmit alot of vibration to your hands, a good pair of gloves would solve this.

4 out of 10 for these!

If you got the gel ones: they get sticky and slimy over time (like they're made of hot bubble gum).

Re: Pro Grip - Handlebar Grips

i've got the gel harris grips and the only time they got sticky like that is when the bozo mechanic decided to clean the greasy grips ( after he got them greasy ) with brake fluid cleaner.

I prefer Pro-Grip over the Harris
I have some brand new Harris' on now, that someone gave me
as soon as the Renthal grips come in the Harris are going into the trash

I've got Harris grips on my 929 right now. I like them a lot more than the pro-grips.

They are good grips, but I would definitely agree about the vibration transmission to the hands. I wear A* SP3 gloves when I ride and still my right hand goes numb after about 45 minutes at speed....

Re: Pro Grip - Handlebar Grips

I put some Shogun sliders on my bike, including the plastic bar ends. Removing that extra weight really seemed to increase the vibration I was feeling, so I got some Pro-Grip gel's, and that really seemed to offset the extra vibration quite nicely, especially in the low and mid range.
