Two Brothers Full Exhaust - 929RR

This exhaust is now discontinued. I recieved it uninstalled with my bike. I went through alot installing this, The head pipes didn't quite line up, but can't tell if that was from original or from sitting around. After adjusting them everything lined up perfectly. Only problem I found was the lower fairing laid right on the pipe, not fun. But after fabricating a bracket to lower the fairing everything was great. Pipe sounds great and bike performs alot better. I would suggest switching to a full pipe to all 929 owners, it eliminates alot of noises from the HTEV, plus makes the bike a lot more responsive and smooth throttle. Alot more power was noticed from my butt dyno, but haven't gotten a chance to have it dynoed.

8 out of 10 - modifiying the fairing wasn't fun, everything else is awesome.

Hindle sells the headers separatly from the cans. but you'd have to find a slip on (a bolt on won't work) with the right diamete inlet. you might as well just get the Hindle can while you're at it. they are relatively cheap exhausts but are more than worth it.

As far as Two Bros is concerned, just FYI they no longer make any full exhaust systems except for the 06 R1 and possibly one for the new Hayabusa (still in design). This is straight from the guy at Two Bros that I spoke to just a couple days ago...was trying to get a full system for a 600RR.

zrides. Did you have a powercommander with your full 2 bros? If so, did you try it without the powercommader? I just purchased a 2 bros full and am curious to what others have experienced.

Re: Two Brothers Full Exhaust - 929RR

Hey,

Yeah I tried without, I had the power commander hooked up but just base mapped. It ran terrible and chugged. I installed the map for the full on the power commander and it fixed alot of the problems. Still have a low end stubble under 2500rpm, and have been trying to get someone on the forumn to post there PC map, so I could see what was done different to reclaim low end, so far now one has been willing to share. My nearest Dynojet tuner is over 4 hours away, so that is not feasible. It definitely makes the bike louder, and pull harder in the top. Plus getting rid of the "gizmo" in the exhaust made a big difference, with not having to listen to the motor so much. Hope all this info helps!

Re: Two Brothers Full Exhaust - 929RR

So if I don't get a power commander right away I can expect it to run like crap? Anything good about it without a powercommander? My bike doesn't idle well with my D&D can.

So as far as you can tell, it only increased power from 9000 rpm and up?

I don't ever remember hearing the gizmo, but I am running a D&D can. Is the gizmo responsible for the quiet sometimes and loud at other times at the same low rpm? I thought that might have been the flapper, but it makes more sense that it might be the gizmo (exhaust valve thing).

Was it hard to install? My buddy said it took 3 people to install his.

Did you have to modify anything to keep it from melting your plastic?

Thanks for the info zrides.
