| Mirror Extenders- 954RR I bought a set of mirror extenders on ebay a while back and I have nothing but good things to say. There are prolly a few companies that are selling them now. I told my friends with Honda bikes and they all purchased a set. They cost around $20-$30. No more staring at your shoulder and/or moving to the side every time you want to see behind you. I attached a few pics, lemme know if you want a different angle. Actually Ill go home tonight and give you before and after pics.
btw, dont mind the missing fender (fastrr is working on that) or missing bar end (fell off the other day while riding)

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I got my set on ebay. They are machined real nice and come with new, longer screws. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I have a set and didn't notice too much of a difference. Just slight. Actually I think the angle for my mirrors is the problem. They were actually better sitting close to the bike. The extenders just brought them up too far.
Litetech mirrors (not stock). |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I bought a set for a 2004 cbr600rr just cuz they were cheaper and the way they are angled I can see a lot better than the stock ones and they are cheaper. New carcon fiber ones for a cbr600rr cost me $40 with shipping and they bolt right on. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I really think they look kind of stupid but I'd much rather see what's behind me. If I want to look at my elbows I can do that when I'm not riding. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I don't ride with mirrors, they are ugly and distracting. A quick look over the shoulder is better then changing lanes because your mirrors look clear any day of the week. It's a jungle out there keep your head on a swivel. |

I ride with my hand on my knee most of the time. Just cruising there is no need to hold on with both hands. And to shoulder check properly you have to take your hand off so you can rotate your body. watch some moto GP when the guys look back, that is what you need to do. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR Dude, I'm 5'6" and old! Even if I could do all that I don't bend that way anymore! Mirrors work just fine, honestly. I think in my state they're required for the bike to be legal as well. |

They are required everywhere to be legal to be honest. as for the age and size that i can understand.
The best mirror you can get is a bar end mirror that is folded in towards the stem nut, it has a much better back view then an extended mirror. I have one on my cr500 Motard and it's awesome. Only reason i have it is so i can see the popo coming lol. |

The reasoning being that you are "not in full control of the motor vehicle". I haven't heard of tix being issued for it yet,so it's obviously just an excuse to get on your case.
I'm pretty fanatical about my mirror use, and anything other than a quick head check around here on a multi-lane road is just begging to get your front end taken off by some maniacal lane sweeper on their cell phone.

Tom | Thats BS I ride with one hand all the time, it sucks being hunched over with both hands on the bars all the time. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR I know it's been said on here already, but the mirrors were the first thing to come off of every bike I've owned. Since fuel injection a PC has been the first addition to every bike I've owned. Mirrors on a motorcycle, that just seems kinda confusing to me.....Late........Peace. |

| Re: Mirror Extenders- 954RR Mirror, Signal, Lifesaver (Looking over your shoulder for blind spots) then Manouvre.
The extenders do help but ATM I haven't found a problem without them.
Over in the UK you don't need mirrors, or lights for that matter but you cannot ride at night as the MOT only is useful in the Daytime. (a little obvious)
