Bad PCIII map's

I got my PCIII yesterday and installed it, and to my disappointment the map F’ing sucks. I guess the good thing is I can customize it myself.

I read on hooligan bike tech about people running a 1000RR Erion slip on map for their 05 1k. just wondering if anyone has feed back on this particular map.

I have an 05 1k with jardine dual outlet slip, any feedback on what maps you guys are running is much appreciated

What map did you originally install on the PCIII? From the factory they have no map.

i installed the map for an 05 1k with jardine slip on.

i've now tried 5 different maps to find no significant increase in throttle response.

i called power commander and they are saying one of the plugs to the injectors is probably loose. i don't think this is the case because i should be getting an Fi light if one of them is not connected. i'm going to pull it all apart and check them just in case.

at this time i'm at a loss

i have whole mess of pc3 maps saved on my computer. send me a full list of mods, and ill send you a couple that should work out fo ya.

also, check out 1000rr.net and look for a thread called map database. there is alot of maps to also try out.

Wow !! I've got an '06 CBR 1000rr with the same slip-on ( Jardine... dual outlet ) and was wondering if the PCIII is worth it. I had mine dyno'd and it's way too rich in the mid / upper rpm's as is. Let me know if you get yours dialed in and if it's really worth the investment. Thanks Eh!

time to get a custom map made for ya boys. look for the newest dyno out there (250??) it's the no brainer dyno and the computer does all the work for them. that should get the a/f worked out for you.

my 929 w/erion full system is running like a bag of donkey **** and i'll have to do the same thing.

hey guys im new here but i was readin a little on your posts about maps for the pc3 and i was wondering where i can get the software for my pc3 on my 01 cbr 929 rr.i have a k&n air filter, two brothers exhaust<slip on> thats it for those mods so far

gpr steering stabilizer
zero gravity smoked widscreen
frame sliders and tank pad

you can get the software off Power Commander's website. I don't know which PC III you have (usb vs. serial connection). It makes a difference. The newer usb software is not backwards compatible with the serial connection. as for maps again check PW website.

So what is the difference beteween the 2 (usb vrs serial)? Connection only? Will my 03 954 take either one? Sorry to sound like an idiot, but when it comes to computer stuff, I AM an idiot...

Well im looking to get a PCIII but was wondering if anyone has a map for a CBR954RR with a Micron Slip on? The DynoJet website only has a full system for it, and was wondering what i would get from adding one...?

As far as I know connection. usb is the newer interface and serial is older tech. Usb is what you would get if you bought new. some people recycle and sell either one. Personally I bought a serial connection for my 929 from a fellow member and have been satisfied.

Which one you get makes a difference in what kind of cable connects to the Power Commander and your pc.

The other difference is that the PCIIIusb does ONLY fuel adjustments via the injectors....but if you get a serial-type PCIII try to get the PCIIIr which allows ignition adjustment as well. With the USB model or a standard PCIII you have to purchase the ignition module separately. Installing just the PCIII and adjusting for fuel usually doesn't make a big difference in power but makes a huge difference in the smoothness of the powerband (meaning goodbye to the flatspots) especially if you have an aftermarket exhaust (when I say "you" I mean almost everyone). But adjusting fuel AND ignition can make a big difference in power delivery, if you know how to tune.

Custom map is the way to go - my 954 has an Erion slip-on - the map from dynojet helped but after dyno tuning at hypercycle, the power band is electric motor smooth.

guys i have very big problem I upgraded my Repsol 2007 with Akrapovic Evo4 full system, power commander nd BMC filter; but last night I made a race with Repsol 2007 upgraded with Arata muffler only nd he past me with about 5 meters.
I spent more than $2000 nd I got a lower performence... so any one knows what could be my problem???

Could we use the map for PC III usb (down load from powercommander website) for PC III or PC IIIr.If not where we can download the fuel map for those.
Because I hear with PC III usb we can adjust the fuel every 250 rpm,in PC III or PC IIIr only adjust every 500 rpm.

I don't think you'll just be able to load the map straight in from the computer. More than likely what you'll have to do is copy the values from the PC3usb map and then create a new PC3r map using those values, yourself.
