| Re: Greg's Customs VS Proton Signals Yeah you can do that. Actually it would be easier to do that. I didn't have any flush mounts when I bought the mirrors, but my buddy had some for me to try. If the flush mounts use regular bulbs (not LED's) then the blink rate will stay the same. Whenever you put on LED's the blink rate will change to much faster or might even be on all the time with no flash at all.
I was thinking of using both but then I would have had to buy the flush mounts from my buddy too. The other thing is that it looks so cool with the blinkers in a totally different place than other bikes (except for the newest bikes that have integrated mirrors too).
If you have led flush mounts already, then you probably did something to fix the blink rate already. If not, you can just replace the flasher. If you replace the flasher to an electronic one (not a thermal one), all of the lights (front and back blinkers regular bulbs or led in any combination) will blink at the normal rate. For ~15 electronic flasher (I bought an auto one for $12) you can save a lot of time and money by not needing resistors on each blinker (could be up to four needed) |
