Pretty simple to install really, I did need to add a few washers to the rear facing mounting screws to make it fit flush against the tail like the stocker. The tail light was plug and play with the stock wires, and I only had to jump in two more wires to the existing turn signal hot leads.



I was hoping that the blue was a little darker as it appeared on their site, but I think it looks pretty cool. Kinda matches the blue screen I've got up front. Even though the lens is blue, the tail definitely lights up red, and of course amber when the turn signals are initiated.

I ordered one of these to slow down the flash interval to stock the flash rate.



They replace the stock signal relay so it should be pretty simple to install. VFX Kits seems to be a pretty cool place. I was looking at their "Flash Equalizer PRO" which was over twice the cost, they recommended the new, much cheaper flasher relay. How many companies out there would talk you down from the higher price item, to a more inexpensive product?

I used the same VFX relay when I installed the Clear Alternatives tail light on my 07 1000RR. Best spent $20 ever. On the 07, it is located behind the left mid fairing. Simple install.

Wasn't so simple for my '05, it's located between the headlights.

9two9rider... You are in luck as well. For the 06, the flasher relay is also behind the left mid fairing. I would recommend you go this route rather than install the resistors that come with the tail light. They get very hot and can damage the tail section if installed in the wrong place. I am not sure there is a correct place.

When I bought my '06, it already had the clear alternatives tail light installed. I'm thinking, all I'd have to do is exchange the two.

I just received the clear alternatives taillight from kneedraggers.com for my 07 1KRR thanks to segiano's information. Product arrived surprizingly fast. That was very impressive. If I am reading correctly it is better to install vfx relays that are located behind the left mid fairing rather than the resistors. Are these relays an item I can purchase from an auto parts store or is there a website for them?

Just one. The VFX plug is made for your bike. Plug and play.

I don't get it. Do they turn red when they light up? Or does the car with the lights on top, light up when you hit the brakes?

I put the clear tail light on mine and the red one on my wifes. Simple install. Now I need to look into getting that relay thing.

That was a serious question. Are you guiys actually putting blue tail/brake lights on the back of your street rides? Or does it glow red?

They glow red when the brake is applied. They also have integrated signal lights that glow amber when the signal is applied. Google integrated taillights for motorcycles and one of the sites have a visual od the light actually working.

Yeah, the lights are bright and definitely red when lit. The integrated signals are definitely amber as well. No question about it.

Go to this site, clearalternatives.com They have the taillight for all the bikes. I ordered mine from kneedraggers.com. Their delivery time was impressive. It looks very simple to install. I will be doing it this afternoon and will be taking pictures.

The tail light is $90 and the relay is $15. Cheap for the great look.

I completed installing the integrated taillight yesterday. Once again I have to thank Segiano for pointing me in the right direction. Mad Mardigans directions were key in the success of this install. It was very easy. My vfx relay should come in tomorrow. You all are killing me with the mods, I love them all. Those led rear pegs are amazing looking. Gotta get em!

I have 10 LEDs per side. My 900 has 10 stacked side by side on each side. His prices vary depending on how many LEDs you want to install. He has different ways to install the LEDs as well, including on the side of the pegs as well as the back. Also, some can be configured as running lights if you desire.
