| 2007 1000RR Exhaust I want to put an exhaust on my bike. The jardine RT-1 is the best looking so far but I dont know if it sounds good. Does anyone know of a good sounding pipe for the 07 1000RR? I had a Devil on my 929RR and it sounded sick. I loved it. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust I put the Jardine RT-1 dual outlet carbon fiber on both my 07's. It sounds freakin awesome to me. But sound is subjective. What I think may sound great, you may hate. Best thing is find a squid hang out and see what theirs sound like.

Well, I went with race baffle. The street baffle is barely louder than stock.

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust i have a Hotbodies exhaust on mine. along with the undertail piece, it looks and sounds fabulous, everyone asks what it is and if they make it for their bikes. its pretty loud, but its well worth it, its alot of fun. that plus a pc3 and k&n filter i'm putting down 145 hp and 75 foot pounds. its pretty sick. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust Akrapovic Hexagonal. Looks good and sounds awesome
Check out/listen to this clip. Both Akra Hex.....on a K12 and on a Blade. The Blade from around 2min55sec' YouTube - Akrapovic Hexagonal Sound check
or this one of the Blade only (cellphone video) YouTube - HRC Blade sprint
should give you a good idea of the sound

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust akra is much quieter.. jardine has a really good sound, plus for the money, akra unless you're doing a full system isn't really worth it in my opinion.. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust My pipe just came in from motorsport.com. I ordered the jardine rt one dual outlet and the damn thing came cracked. I am sending it back. The cabon fiber end cap looked very cheaply made and weak. Did I just get a crappy one or do any other riders have had this same problem. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust I just installed the same one and have no problems. Although it's taking some getting used to as it is quite loud but a nice sound. I'm already thinking about trying the Akrapovic. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust Why switch to Akrapovick. You are the second person to suggest that. Is it because it is too loud? |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust It really is just a matter of taste. I love the look of the Jardine and really didn't mind the stock system, just wanted a different sound. Jardine is much louder than stock. It sounds really nice at idle. Nice and throaty. Real mean sound. I'm gonna give it some time to see if I get used to it tho. Besides, I'm pretty old and I don't wanna piss off my neighbours as I do want to ride at night sometimes and would come home very late.

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust Thanks for the info. I like my bikes to sound mean and throaty. I had a devil exhaust on my 929 and it sounded great. I never had jardine but have heard great things about them. I saved my pennies for the jardine and was really pissed when it arrived cracked. They said I should have the new one by next week. Cant wait to put it on. Most my neighbors have load Harleys they warm up for work at 5am so now it is my turn. LOL |

obg419 | Jumping in for MadnohB here.
The tail tidy is by Puig. I bought this same unit for my 07 1000RR. The tail tidy does not come with turn signals nor a plate light. You can use you stock rear signals if you want. I installed a clear alternatives integrated tail light. I also installed an LED plate light from VFX. |

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust Finally my pipe came in and I am done. I have an 07 1000rr. At the moment has 99 miles on it. I recently upgraded from a 2000 929 and love how far honda has come. Thanks to people like Segiano and all others who have helped tremendousely. I installed dark smoke windshield, integraded tail light with VFX relay, and jardine rt one exhaust. All that is left is a seat cowl and a power commander and maybe that kitt third eye. I like that. Once again thanks and here are some pictures of my bike. My camera sucks so I cant give you a movie of the tail light and exhaust sound. |

Great looking bike. My looks very similar to yours.
I have added a few things since this picture.

| Re: 2007 1000RR Exhaust I eliminated that. I was stumped on that also for a while but researched it and it is to control emissions for California so someone said. You need to take off the two phillips screws off the plate. Then remove the wires from the box. My friend tucked them away in the bike but I removed from black box aslo. Bottom line it is not needed with aftermarket exhaust. |
