to go a little off topic here I've always meant to ask you, how does the Arata compare to the Sato?

Re: micron or arata In terms of performance gains, both are about the same. Depends on how much you want to spend, the Arata costs more. Can't go wrong with either, and yeah, you'll gain about 10-12 hp with a PCIII that has a custom map made specifically for your bike.

Re: micron or arata micron is cheap but the arata header is titanium. The micron header give me a tough time to fix it up b'cos of the weird shape.

Re: micron or arata I have a hindle slip on right now and im considering buying the rest of the system from hindle. but is it really worth it? i dont plan on running a PC on the bike and since most people with a full system have a PC, will running without one make the bike run like crap?

Re: micron or arata I voted for Micron, because my 929 and my 954 have full Micron with Serpent headers. I've not gotten an exhaust for my 08 blade yet, but it's coming. I just don't know what it's gonna be yet.

Re: micron or arata i think he micron sounds great i like that hush performance sound of their full sys. I currently have a full TwoBrothers exhaust which i liked because it sounds powerful compared to what ive heard.

Re: micron or arata i have a full serpentine micron with the ultralight can. i`m happy with it. but i`ve recently heard that micron halted all production on the motorcycle exhausts and are only concentrating on their automotive lines of exhaust. of coarse i`ve only seen micron automotive exhausts in racing

Re: micron or arata I have an 07 CBR1000 and ran it stock on a dyno and it only had 144hp on the wheel. It was flat at the top end and could only get 287kph. I was dissapointed as my old 05 model was much quicker with 149hp. I put on a PC3 and a full Arata titanium system and also pipercross road air filters and reset it on the dyno and now have 159.5hp and the difference on the road is definitely worth the cash outlay. The Arata sounds like a Banshee at high RPM.
