We discussed this awhile back, and concluded it would work...Although nobody has tried yet. I think it's mostly a marketing thing to prevent the PC3's from becoming obsolete overnight. The PCV has tons more features for the same price as the PC3USB. The '08 and '09 Fireblades are identical except for the ABS, so there is no reason it shouldn't work.

Doesn't the PCv come with and O2 sensor attachment that is necessary for the 09 and not for the 08? I'm just asking, 'cause I've got the PC III with ignition module on my 08 and would like to know the difference myself.

Re: power commander III or power commander V

You can run a PC V as long as the ECU #'s are the same. The PC V has so many advantages over the PC III I don't even know where to start. Also you can tap the 02 sensor anywhere on the exhaust according to Dynojet.
