| Which Exhaust? I have a 2008 cbr1000rr and was wondering if anyone had used a taylormade or yoshimura R77 exhaust. I am trying to decide, any pictures or advice would be very helpful. thank you |

| Re: Which Exhaust? i will say i have arrow on my 929 and i am very pleased with every aspect. i get compliments all the time on the sound. put up good numbers too. the guy who mapped it stated the pipe makes a lot of torque. thats a good thing for a street bike. taylormade looks really good. i cant really knock yoshimura but i tend to go torwards a brand that i see supplying the factory teams for a particular brand. do some research to see which companies are actually doing R + D on the bike and which are just slapping together a noise maker that fits.
i find if im torn between two exhausts im off to youtube... |

| Re: Which Exhaust? The Taylormade exhaust looks great but after some reading on this forum and else where, it is ridiculously loud - 106.5dB. In some case the exhaust was losing power as well.
A mate of mine who also has a Blade spoke to a guy from Padgett Racing at the NEW Bike Show and he told him they had tried the majority of exhausts and the Arrow full system was the most impressive, making very impressive gains mid range where you tend to use it most rather than top end compared to other exhaust manufacturers.
I personally like the Yoshi R77 full system and the Akrapovic full system, however I read somewhere that you cannot change the oil filter with the Akra full system as the headers interfere with the filter. |

| Re: Which Exhaust? Ive gone for the Taylormade because I like the way its untouchable in a light accident. But thats just because I rinse my bikes and paying for another Akro CF endcan cos ive lost the rear would be a big pisser.
Lots of USA riders love the Taylormade and its got good gains low down, especially for a slip-on, but if racings your thing and you need more BHP then an Akro/Yosh/Arrow full system is the way to go |

| Re: Which Exhaust? oh, watch out for cheap USA Yoshi copies.
Ever wondered why you can get an R77 for around £400 imported from the states when they cost about £800 in the UK?
Well apparently Yoshi sold the rights to someone in the USA and they are using cheap materials and manufacturing methods to capitalize on Yoshi Japans fine R&D'ed products. Well thats what ive heard anyway.
The good stuff says Yoshi Japan. |
