Searching racing swingarm for 954

Hello, I'm looking for a racing swingarm for my Blade. The problem is... where? I can't buy it brand new, the cost of the kit is similar to the value of my bike. On web I found several images of racing swingarms, but I wasn't able to find anybody who wants sell one.

Does anbody know which is the producer of this kit? The rear caliper isn't necessary, for me (I have a CNC Discacciati, under the swingarm): I can draw and produce the support to fit the caliper on each swingarm.

Only custom... I'm searching only used racing accessories, the cost of these accessories, new, is prohibitive.

954 aftermarket race parts become harder and harder for me to find every year, especially something like that swingarm.

Re: Searching racing swingarm for 954

Harder and harder... But the prices are more "popular". In 2003, to have one of these objects, was necessary to give out 3000-4000 euro.
On june, I "lost" a racing swingarm, sold for 600 euro... SGRUNT!

You were asking about Erion,
in 03 Erion's stuff wasn't really anything to write home about
it looks like they just took the stock swing-arm & added their own end for a Ti axle

Re: Searching racing swingarm for 954

The last link doesn't work... VERY INTERESTING.
I am drawing the ends of my swingarm. I want have the holes for a 29 mm diameter axis (original 25 mm). In this way, I'll be able to fit a system used in endurance races; see the picture...

For the rear caliper, today I'm drawing the stirrup for the Discacciati unit buyed last week. The weight difference between OEM caliper+stirrup and the new ones will be over 350 grammes...

Very interesting, but my stirrup will be without the lower bar. In the weekend I hope to finish the drawing of the assembly... Stay tuned.

I saved over 500gms just by making an aluminium rear disc.

I had thought that too and actually missed out on one on ebay for stupid cheap money (under $100) because I had just put a 954 swingarm on my bike. Came to find out shortly after missing the action that the Erion ones were HRC swingarms. I was talking to a guy (Pete Boccarossa) about it because he has a ton of sweet former race bikes including Jake Zemke's Formula Xtreme 954. The HRC swingarm looks virtually identical to a standard 954 swingarm but its internally braced more making it slightly heavier but a lot stronger.

Re: Searching racing swingarm for 954

The racing swingarms used in TT and Endurance races aren't probably from Harris. I'm not sure my photos are of a Harris one, in this moment I have two ways: to find a real racing swingarm or to draw the modifies, to produce the single parts and (radically) modify an OEM swingarm.
The photo of the GSX-R swingarm are "the second way", I think to be able to do something similar. But I hope to find a racing swingarm, "Plug & Play"...

Re: Searching racing swingarm for 954

You know it is kinda heavy
I just thought they wielded a few do-dads on & called it good
I'm glad to know that, I was thinking about assigning it another job, but I will go ahead @ stick it on the track bike I'm putting together
(I managed to grab one of their engines & a few other things too)
thanks

Re: Searching racing swingarm for 954

I'm also looking for the HRC link marked in the photo... It's the RUMI 2002 954 of the italian Superstock championship:

http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/288...umilink.th.jpg

If somebody has this kit on his bike, I ask to give me the geometry. I can produce something of similar. The triangles will be in inox, laser cutted. The Dogbone will be equal, not similar; I will use the same steering-wheels of the OEM dogbone.

Very nice also the radiator... I have the same Termignoni and Ohlins rear shock on my Bike.

Yes. The first time somebody answered me at telephone but didn't give me any information... Her boss didn't contact me after my calling.
The other times... nobody answered me.

This morning I sent a mail to ask the prices of the "upgrades", stay tuned.

I sold a 954 fuel tank to a guy in Rome and he told me he didn't know anybody with a Ducati. Same reasons as here, twice the price for half the quality. I guess they're just smarter than us :-)

Cool.
Those chain adjusters are like the early GSXR's have got.
