| Any Brit's running Taylormade Exhaust? Im thinking of ordering the Taylormade exhaust for my CBR1000RR 08
Its a fair price for a good looking slip-on and it makes good low down gains, but most of all its out of the way of danger if I get in an accident. A carbon Akro will grind right through in a light slide, but not the TM exhaust.
Where did UK riders buy yours?

Sure, the gains are good for a slip-on, but it focusses on low down power, which is personally where i want it.
Check out their website Taylormade Honda CBR 1000 Fireblade Underbelly Exhaust |

| Re: Any Brit's running Taylormade Exhaust? I'm also in pursuit of that. I had the full Erion on for awhile then pulled it in favor of thier slip-on due to poor performance down low. A dyno run appeared on this site yesterday on the same bike (929') and shows some impressive figures with full exhaust and a shorty. If my bike could produce like that I would put the full back on. I have a few dates on dyno's and some time to set aside to ride it afterwards in the uture so hopefully I can get this behind me and go after an RC51.

Where did UK riders buy yours? | IMHO - That zorst is a work of art - Had my eye on it for sometime now , I can't wait to fit one to my 09 blade - probably will get one over the winter ready for spring! but then again the plastic might come out of the wallet again
Anyway, I looked into importing one but it's way expensive, head over to Motorcycle Boots, Helmets Jackets and Protective Clothing | Chain and Sprocket Sets | Motorbike Gloves | Electric Powabyke who will send you one for £750 FREE P&P |

| Re: Any Brit's running Taylormade Exhaust? First off, EPGMoto are selling me:
- Taylormade Exhaust with CF Trim
- PowerCommander 5 with Oxygen sensor eliminator
- Block off plates
- K&N race filter
All shipped for less than £800, BARGAIN!!! Results for Exhaust:Taylormade Racing:Honda:CBR1000RR 08-09
The TM exhaust has got a sweet sound and the guys in the states who have them tell me its about the same as an Akro with its DB killer in. Some complain its all show but they forget its just a slip-on.
For me the fact thats its a belly pan exhaust means I can crash my bike and it wont get touched, only have to pay for a few plastics, major bonus. Carbon Akrapovics look sick, but they would grind to bits in a slow slide and add £1000 to the bill, ive done that before & ground my gsxr600 alloy pipe to bits.

Have a read of HM Revenue & Customs
So it's £800 + 18% = £944
I'd ring customs and excise if I where you and get it clarified, I am looking at getting one sent over from the US as well as it works out £130 cheaper than what you will pay in the UK
Good luck! |

In a video I watched with Paul describing the exhaust, he said it was designed to be a "muffler" and was therefore "not a loud exhaust". There are some videos on you tube and it certainly does not appear to be too loud. HTH

| Re: Any Brit's running Taylormade Exhaust? I cant seem to find that 106db figure on their website anymore, so im not sure exactly where I first saw it. For sure ill be very happy if it quieter.
The video I saw, he says the dual chambers are necessary to quieten the exhaust in that short amount of space. If you think about it, the TM exhaust ends where other exhausts begin.
Ill just have to wait to hear it myself, cant wait for the package to get here. |

| Re: Any Brit's running Taylormade Exhaust? The stock setup runs fine, but if you replace the pipe with any free flowing pipe, its gonna change the air fuel ration, which aint good for your engine. Im no expert but if your getting more air then the fuel is probably too lean.
Ive heard you can get the stock ECU dynoed and some people never bother fixing the fueling.
I got my PCV for basically free cos I bought the pipe from epgmoto in the USA. Their prices are so much lower than UK that the pipe, airfilter, pcv & shipping came to abount the same price as buying just the pipe from anywhere in the UK. |

I ordered from Danny at EPGMoto and they will provide a PCV but you have to load the map yourself (no biggie). |
