09 Blade HID kits and installation UK

Hi,

I'm looking at buying and having installed an HID kit for my 09 Blade in the UK. I have no ability whatsover to do any work myself on the bike as I'm crap.

Can anyone recommend a kit and someone to install it for me?

Thanks in advance.

hey shirty,
someone else posted a thread concerning HIDs for the Fireblade 08/09 and I gave him the advice to just forget it.
I tried to install the HID kit with a friend of mine on my 08 Blade and it turned out to be a nightmare. My friend is a Honda Fireblade Mechanic, so he knows the bike inside out, but we were not able to find a suitable place for the ballasts, literally there is NO space. After hours and hours of trying and even hiding the ballasts next to the battery and extending the HID kit cables we had to give up. Too many hick ups - just drop it, not worth it. In the end I throw the whole kit in the garbage bin. Save the money for sthg nice, like Galfer Brake Lines or nice levers.

Hi, I have installed a HID kit with slim ballasts on an 09, the only way I could fit mine was to do the inlet flapper mod to clear-up some space. Took the vac diaphragms out and cut the plastic prongs off that supported a connector, this has left enough room for the ballasts and connections. They have made a MASSIVE difference, came back last night in the dark and it's like riding in day light

Not sure on the fit for a 400, depends on how much space you can find to put the ballasts, the kits will fit any halogen bulb style. I would have thought if you can fit them to an 09 blade they will fit anything else coz there is not much room anywhere for anything
