| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer Yeah the only thing about bikes like that I guess is that if you need to get a part in a hurry it might not always be that easy or cheap. I think I could find a place for one in my shed. |

That amounts to 135 HP and 86 ft/lb
439 pounds dry weight
Not that impressive...unless you're Robocop I guess

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer I like that one a lot. Much more to my tastes. Dry weight of 418 plus a 5.5 gal fuel tank means a 470-480 pound bike though. Still pretty heavy. 174 HP will help make up for that but I think that much weight def. means giving up some handling quickness. It's probably rock solid though.

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer Here is a great MV page detailing the F4 - Tamburini
Edit: MV Agusta F4-1000 Tamburini
It doesn't list the MSRP until the bottom of the page. I know 42K is a ridiculous amount for a bike but after reading the entire page about the bike I thought the MSRP was going to be double that. No wonder it is sold out.

Would you go for one of those, or a garage with 10 different SBK's in it?

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer I'd go for one of those over the garage full of SBK's, you can only ride one at a time. Unless by SBK you mean a factory bike built for WSBK competition. I really want to get my hands on a top level ex-racebike. Obviously getting my hands on a GP bike would be the ultimate dream.

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer You just missed Larry Pegrams CBR1000 a few months back on e-bay. Buy Now = $25K. Not bad considering...
I read once that Honda said they have about $15 million per copy in their RC211V. I haven't seen any of them come accross ebay yet...but I'm waiting.

Wow, I was talking to my wife about it last night and guessed $5 million per GP bike.

You can only ride one bike at a time, but then you can only wear one pair of shoes at a time, too, and who has only one pair of shoes? |

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer Hi there everyone. It's been a while since my last time in here.
This dude i know her in Australia has one. He was raving on about it and how good it is. But you know he's had nothing but trouble with it. All electrical problems. Been in the shop more times than on the road. "Told him to stay Jap"..Not to mention they cost $25,000 Australian Dollars.
You can check out my post on 2005 engine builds to see what I've been up to.
Cheers.
Boy blader. |

| Re: Benelli 1130 Cafe Racer I believe Jay Leno called the MTT the "More Money Than Brains Bike"...
2 speed automatic engine: "Fast" and "Did you see something?"
But at least you can get it in a 2 seater... that's just wrong... and not even a good wrong. |
