Some information outlined on the bike from Bimota
Extensive use of light alloys and carbon fiber
Carbon fiber faring
Carbon fiber fuel tank . Many elements of the SB8K are machined from aluminum alloy, a distinctive feature of all classic and current Bimota motorcycles.

Chassis

The chassis is unique composite structure frame. The upper section is constructed from light alloy and the lower frame section consists of two carbon fiber plates with a box structure that makes for the best possible rigidity to weight ratio. The composite frame creates an extremely lightweight bike - 185 kg (408 lb) on-road weight at an exceptional rigidity.

Front brake: 2 x 320 mm semi-floating discs, 4-piston 4-pad radial calipers - Brembo
Front wheel: 6 spoke design light alloy forged 3.50x17 - OZ
Front tyre: 120/70 ZR 17
Rear suspension: Progressive linkage with fully adjustable Öhlins monoshock
Rear wheel travel: 130 mm / 5.1 in
Rear brake: 240 mm disc, 2-piston caliper - Brembo
Fuel tank capacity: 21 l / 5.6 US gal (including 5 l / 1.3 US gal reserve)
Weight: 175 kg / 400 lbs (includes battery, lubricants and, where applicable, cooling liquid)
Seat height: 810 mm / 31.9 in

Engine

Type: Suzuki TL 1000 R - L twin cylinder,
4 valve per cylinder; liquid cooled
Displacement: 996 cc
Compression ratio: 11.3:1
Fuel injection: Electronic fuel injection, 55 mm throttle body
Exhaust: Double aluminium mufflers
Emissions: Euro 2
