I've spent some time on the 675 and I found it to be a lot fun to ride, I thought the engine was fantastic, the extra grunt from the tripple would appeal to a lot of riders. |

| Re: Triumph Daytona 675 2008 I love the 675. My dealer had one that sat on the floor all last year and I sat on it whenever I got a chance. The price is great. The special edition has a lower MSRP than a standard 600RR. I also love that the Triumph comes standard with nice things like SS brake lines that would be an extra $150 on any other bike. It also has turn signals that don't make you want to pull them off the moment you get it home. Makes me wonder why the others can't do that.

| Re: Triumph Daytona 675 2008 Here is a good article on the 675.. The only thing I wonder is why Triumph has its dry weight @ 363 when its more like 391lbs...Thats a big difference.. And the 07 model came in @ 104rwhp.. So I hope the 08 is more powerful and alittle lighter.. 2007 GSX-R750 vs Daytona 675 - MotorcycleUSA.com |

Its comparable, like back in 2000 the RC51 being a v-twin was a 1000 racing against inline 4s that were 750s. I believe the 1000cc four cylinders are racing against 1200cc twins now. Dunno what the rules are for triples but they have 'em. |

| Re: Triumph Daytona 675 2008 I like the way the tripple delivers the power, very easy to ride IMO and you don't have to wring it's neck. |

| Re: Triumph Daytona 675 2008 I just bought my 08 675 about two weeks ago. I am still in the 1k mile break in period and it is killing me. So far I love this bike, of course I havn't gotten it passed 6k rpm yet.........! But it is so much fun to ride, the engine is amazing, even at 6k rpm it performs! I love the stock sound but will be updating to a Jardine slip on as soon as it gets to the house.
I looked at every bike out in 08'.... I fell in love with my 675 the first time I sat on it. I also really like the GSXR 600 but I didn't really care for the 08 styling. The R6 was way to far to the handle bars. The Honda 600RR and the 675 were really close choices for me, it really came down to 4 holes vs 3 and price.
Honda had this bad to the core SE, flat black design but it was over priced in my opinion.
I didn't get the special edition 675, the dealer in Austin didn't have one, and I like the red one just fine! |
