Kawasaki engineers aimed for an ideal superbike with engine and chassis performance capable of satisfying professional racers, combined with top-notch streetbike qualities for mainstream riders.

The designers didn’t rest when it came to styling either. Given great freedom with the 2008 ZX-10R, their efforts are illustrated in the clean design with superb fit and finish. While shaping the rear frame, tank and seat to offer improved ergonomics and increase the rider’s contact with the bike, they also refined its aerodynamics from a new front cowling to the sharp, minimalist tail cowl. The result of these efforts is a slim and compact package with the presence befitting its Ninja name

I think it needs a better looking exhaust.. And that tail section.

the front view is kinda funky too...I liked the 04/05 models after that it started looking alittle mugly to me.Its one nasty fast bike though.

Originals numbers that were posted for HP with ram air have to be bogus. Just saw a test track clip with an 07 r1 next to it. In the straights the r1 got him by atleast 5 bikes...and top'd out at 189.

Bird beaks tend to cut throught the air really good and cause damage to the prey. I need to test ride on at the track

Honestly, i dont like the look of it.

Bikes are loosing their character and becoming more like GP bikes. Personally, i would rather have the older version of the ZX10R, looked much better.

The new Kawasaki ZX-10R scores an easy five out of five; it surely must be the fastest production 1000cc bike of the current crop. But this ZX-10R is not all about Kawasaki’s new blistering engine and head-banging attitude, it’s controllable and handles much better than the previous ZX-10R and despite the blistering pace is actually easier to ride. Not for the faint hearted, the new ZX-10R is a true superbike for the road.

I'm a 06 1K fireblade owner and the 08 fireblade is ugly and looks for like a cruiser type bike. From the driver seat back looks like a r1 and the front looks like it has been beat in with a 2x4. But I'm loving the 08 zx10 it reminds me of the 04/05 i might end up getting one but i'm not trading my honda in.

I say a stock exhaust should look like a race fit or a shorty yosh pipe. Best look so far in my book.
