07 cb900f suspension settings

As there are no compression adjustments, should I lower tire pressure from stock 36F/42R? I only bought the bike today, but compared to the 03 Suz
SV1000s,the Honda suspension seems crap. Most bikes I've owned with adjustable suspension were pretty close to right on the stock settings.I could also fool with spring preload.

The forks should have damping adjusters on top.
If you've only picked it up today what exactly are you trying to tune out of it?
What other bikes have you owned?

Re: 07 cb900f suspension settings

The 919 suspension can only be adjusted for rebound dampening and spring pre load
The other bikes I have owned
1993 900rr,1995 tri speed triple,1997 tl1000s,1998 zx6r,1999 tri 955i daytona
The 919 has too much compression dampening.I can only adjust rebound dampening as there is no adjusters on the fork bottoms to adj compression.
The bike skates on rough pavement as the compression is too firm to allow the fork or shock to respond quickly. Actually the problem may just be that the bike needs another 500 mi to "break in" the fork and shock innards.
Wish I had your forks and shock!
