New for 2008 Suzuki's streetfighter, based on the 2007 1250cc Bandit, is a limited edition bike with Renthal bars, a Yoshimura silencer and has a new single seat cowling.

Available only for a short period in the UK, it is being sold by authorised Suzuki dealers only at the RRP of £5499.

Paul de Lusignan, from Suzuki GB, said of the new model

“The Bandit is one of the few product ranges in motorcycling that has evolved and captured new audiences over the years. With the ultra-torquey 1250 motor, the naked Bandit returns to its origins offering great naked performance at unbeatable value”.

"Ultra torquey" hardly begins to describe this machine. With its flat torque curve the Bandit generates 64.5 lb-ft of torque at just 1,800 rpm, and from 2,700 rpm there’s more than 70 lb-ft on your right hand.

And now that Holeshot has a Stage 1 kit for it, and a new header on the way, the Dyno pulls are now at 135HP and 94 ft lbs. Not bad for a $7500 bike.

Street fighter or transformed to sport tourer, an amazing machine.
