Yamaha’s street brawler, the 2009 FZ1, delivers 150bhp with its fuel injected R1 engine and light, but strong, aluminium chassis. Suitable for sport touring and urban assault, and everything in between, the fully adjustable suspension will let you take the bike just about anywhere.

A rigid, but light, aluminium frame contributes to extremely competent and responsive handling, as does the forward placement of the engine and the 43mm USD adjustable forks. The 51/49 front/rear weight bias is a further contributing factor in this bikes brilliant handling ability.

Low emissions come courtesy of a short 4 into 1 chamberless exhaust, while the stainless steel EXUP and oxygen sensor within the 3-way catalyst contribute to the smooth power delivery throughout the rev range.

The bikes aggressive streetfighter looks, while not to everyone’s taste, are delivered in stunning style courtesy of the sculpted tank, R1 styled headlight within a half cowl fairing, and fat radial tyres, the rear being a 190/50-ZR17.

Hey Loopy - I checked ot the FZ this weekend and was very impressed. It's a nice do it all type machine. The only things that look to be changed was the exhaust can and the cheap windscreen. The price was 8900USD. Not a bad deal! Take it easy.
