| 1RR Orders Gday,
thought I'd just pop my lid up and introduce myself. I placed my order Friday morning for the new pride of the fleet, one Black 1RR!! The timing could not have been better as my local dealer here in little ol Perth just received his official order form an hour earlier from Honda MPE. there expecting the first priority orders (inc. mine!) to arrive at dealers a week after the official Australian launch which is on the 07/04/2004. not to poke fun at Lent but it's been 9 months of fasting for me without a Blade in the Garage and now I have extra cause to celebrate over the Easter break.
price otd $19500.00

SOR Perth WA | I put my deposit down 21/02/2004 (21st Feb) for the Pearl Fadelees White/Matt Barents Blue Metallic (Red/White/Blue) model. Spoke to them yesterday and mine will be in the first shipment but still no word on an exact price, but they tentaively said $AU19,500 (~$US14,597.75) plus on roads. However the Honda guys at the Melbourne Motor Show were saying the price was going to be between $AU18k and $AU19k which is better than the $AU19k to $AU20k estimates up until that point. But only time will tell what the real price is.
Good to hear that someone is getting a date for arrival! Still nothing confirmed for me. |

Other things like the metric system as well, it all makes sense but the yanks just want to be different for the **** of it. Get with the time maaan! hehe. |

| Re: 1RR Orders I've got two coming next week. One is sold, the other will be before it gets here, but I'll keep it for a few days before I let it out for anyone that wants a look.
Who's your Perth dealer? Honda shop? |

Get with the time maaan! hehe. | True Aussie dates are more logical than the format the yanks use, but the most logical way to do it would be YYYY-MM-DD so that the most signification figure is on the left. Resulting in dates that are structured in the same way as the rest of our numbering systems, at least in written languages that read left to right, not sure about how other written languages work with thier numbering.
I would have thought that even the yanks would have seen the light and switched onto the metric system by now, especially after NASA (a group of fairly cluey yanks) didn't quite get the imperial to metric conversion right, resulting in the Mars Climate Orbiter crashing into mars. After a $125 million project goes down the tubes like that you'd think it might be worth coming into line with the rest of the world and international standards organisation. Surely $125 million would have gone a long way to funding the costs of converting to metric. http://www.cnn.com/TECH/space/9909/30/mars.metric.02/
