Price of Power commanders

Just to let you know, I can now do Power commander units for most bikes for $550 (O.K $500 for you guys). I was told today that they have been dropped due to the dollar. Let me know what you rekon.

My number is 02 97249288. For Gman, take your bike to Phil Tainton and have him map it for you. You won't be sorry.
Brenny, yep I can send one to you. Either by card over the phone or put the money into our account. Let me know when you're ready and I'll get it sorted for you.

Have you got the 1000 model yet? It's on the powercommander website so I was just wondering.

Re: Price of Power commanders

They are due in with the next shipment. On their way, and should be about a week or so.
Gman 80, sorry, I just re read this post and saw I didn't answeryour question. It depends on what pipe you have etc. And how "bad: the fueling is right now. Most of the bikes (954's) I do get around 5 by mapping. But it will use less fuel, be smoother on/off throttle, make power quicker etc.

The FI on the 1000 is quite jerky. Hopefully a powercommander might sort it out. I might wait until you have done a couple to see the outcome.

Re: Price of Power commanders

Aussie, I get asked/told this alot. "Have you done one before?" "I'll wait til you do a few" etc etc, but it's irellivent what bike it is. The procedure of mapping the bike is the same on everything. Sure, Dynojet give us tips on what air/fuel to run where etc, but it's never TOO different than a bike in roughly the same class. Besides the parameters that I set for what air/fuel to which rpm and throttle, the method of mapping it will be the same. The SP1 is thebike I've done most of because of the jerky throttle, and the first bike I did, was much better to ride just as the last one I did was.
The problem is that the bike is getting either too much or not enough fuel between off and on the throttle. By making the air/fuel "right" at those points, it takes away the "jerky" feeling. Simple.
But, whenever you're comfortable is fine with me. Haha
