| Eastern Creek today (9th April 04) went down to the Creek today to take some footage of a friend at a track day.
Unfortunatley, the coolest thing of the day happenned befor eI pulled the video camera out.
2 Duc 998's were flying down the main straight, head for turn one side by side, when the duc slosest to pit was lost part of it's lower fairing - at what must hav ebeen about 250km/h. It was amazing to see, this plastic body work just gave way and fell right off, the guy just kept riding and didn't really seem to care.
Also noticed the Sook had some paperwork handed out, advertising some new stuff. Cool looking brochure - except someone mixed up the CBR600RR and the F4i....
Lots of blades out on the track, the $14990 deal must have thrown a lot of blades out into the world. Can't wait to take my baby out on the track once the suspension is sorted..

Wouldn't happen to have been the blue 954 sharing the pit garage with Aggs GSXR1k, a VFR800, CBR6F4i, another Blue 954 and a black/red 954, would ya? Spoke to one guy with a blue 954 who was riding in a group, but there were 2 or 3 out there from memory...

| Re: Eastern Creek today (9th April 04) I won't be doing any track days until the Fireblade thingon may 7 (ride the 1000rr and your own bike)
Hopefully, will have sorted something for the suspension by then..
Though if Agg goes out, I may set up the video camera and the mini camera on his bike. Will be interesting to see how it works out and where the best place would be to put the camera itself..

| Re: Eastern Creek today (9th April 04) I was there to supply the guy that runs the ride days a Matris damper for the demo R6. He has an Arata system on order with me for the 04 R1 also, which I'll have by the end of the month. Saw a trashed 999 as well. That's gotta hurt. Haha. |

I also ran into The Sook the next day at Wakefield at the 5 Hour Race.

| Re: Eastern Creek today (9th April 04) Did you speak to me at the 5 hour?
Damn would have won that race if one of our guys hadn't binned it. Ha. Look out for our guy (Roland Kruck) this weekend at Wakefield. He'll be right there on his R1 in front of a few factory guys I suspect. |

You know me - the VFR with ~108000kms on it!
I'd be bringing it down to you for [yet another] service except I'm too busy before heading away with work next week. Quote: |

| Yup, was some good racing again - altho it seemed a bit smaller / quieter this year than it has been in the past.
And yeh, its going to be pretty crazy with ARRC on this w/e at Wakefield, a grid full of Superbikes around there will be great to watch.
cheers

| Re: Eastern Creek today (9th April 04) Hehe, that was a hired lens - got it for the long w/e - the EC track day and the 5 hour.
I won't be down there, got too much stuff to sort before going away with work this week.

I didn't go either. Roly rode like a girl and the factory guys pulled the pin. |
