| What Mods are you Going to do? Well my first one was to remove the hero pegs!
Next will be braided lines, will probably get those off the net from Dan Kyle, then maybe then 1kg front springs, not sure on this will have to wait after the first track day.
Don't like the look of any of the after market zorsts so far, so will wait on this.
PCiiiR, not sure if the bike needs it.
Any other cheap hp mods you know of(on the SP you just took off the flapper pipe!)
Yeaa and its raining out so am not riding |

| Re: What Mods are you Going to do? Well my first mod was put on before it left the store.....my tank protector. but I chose a clear one and it looks a little ordinary so I might have a look at replacing it with something better. I should have got the graphite colour damn it!!!
I'm planning on getting some frame sliders once they are avalible here, and I might even wack on some swing arm and handle bar sliders as well.
Most of the time I carry a laptop to and from home and work and since the tank is plastic and my magnetic tank bag don't stick so I'm looking at getting a rack and bag. But after taking the tank cover off on Friday I'm wondering if I can put some sheets of metal or magnets underneath for the tank bag to latch onto. Anyone got any ideas if a magnet sitting against the tank would cause and problems I doubt it be probably a good idea to check. Actually the magnets near the laptop are probably not a good idea but I’ll look into if for different cargo.
I've got my BikeBandit alarm sitting beside me, which I'm hoping I can get installed this week but first I need to find space to fit it.
I'm also contemplating getting a PC3USB to try and improve the fuel efficiency while commuting around town. But I'll have to see how the cash is holding up for that. |

| Re: What Mods are you Going to do? Yep sorry i forgot i have a tank slapper on order.
Went for a ride this afternoon betwen the showers, this bike is stupid, you just cannot use the power on the street
I commute as well but will use a back pack as i dont want to put anything on the tank or frame.
Think that there are sliders available. Sato has them i think. |

The tankslapper did you order it from the website or can you get it locally? If its from the site are you getting stung with customs charges and postage within Australia? I'm thinking of getting the tankslapper as my replacement but I've been stung with customs and local postage charges before which doubles the cost. |

BVH have a lot of stuff now, check out this linky and click on CBR1000 BVH |

I was thinking that myself but I was just going to check with Peter Steven's to see if they had any already.
Sook might have some he can post down to us as well. |

| Re: What Mods are you Going to do? Rigged up a quick disconnect for my Battery Tender.
Bought a set of Sato Clip Ons for it, that I haven't installed yet.
I have the tankslapper complete kit for it but I haven't had time to put it on yet.
Next will be a new screen, an Ohlins rear with dogbone, and have Dan rework the forks. |

I am 6' and find the riding position a lot more comfy than the SP1
I will be getting a screen from a local company here called eagle screens.
On the way in this morning came up on a cop so had to stop lane splitting, when he swa me he came over and we rode together before he gave me the thumbs up and off i went |

| Re: What Mods are you Going to do? Yes they raise the bars up slightly, probably about an inch, and out a little as well. The main benefit is the bike becomes easier to steer, the byproduct is the increased comfort.

Still I encounter the same scenario regularly and normally they tolerate you leaving them stuck in peak hour as long as u show em a piece of respect
yeah I am sussing screens out myself so let us know how your eagle fits.
Just regarding pipes, after sampling Microns slipon on Prestiges demo I am getting one of em in Carbon F fitted this Friday. I was impressed with the music from it I must say. |

Yep whenever i see a cop on the freewaY I always stop lane spltting, hopfully i can get ahead of them by flipping lanes to where they can't see me and then i start again. I do believe that they tolerate it to some extent if you are not too blatent and as you say show them some respect.
Do the cops tolerate splitting in Melbourne and Sydney? |

I know it's a , but I don't know anyone that has actually been done for it. | I believe that in Melbourne it is not illegal to lane split but it is illegal to overtake on the on the left hand side to technically if you stay on the left of the dividing line and you are not being reckless then you shoudn't get pulled up for it.
But I also believe that it is legal to overtake on the left if you are on a road with more than two lanes so you should be able to lane split without too many problems on the three and four lane roads around the place.
That's the third hand 'offical' point of view but I've never seen it in print so ...actually thinking back I did read something somewhere as well as the above hear-say...hang on I'll track it down...it was either MRAA or Netrider......
here we go it was MRAA.... http://www.mraa.org.au/index.php?opt...age&Sub Menu=

| Re: What Mods are you Going to do? Already in
- Moriwaki Stage 2 (Race) Full system + PCIII USB (will be mapped properly later today)
- powerbronze clear DB screen
This week
- steel brake lines front
As soon as it gets here
- STM Evoluzione Slipper clutch (me and Chris Vermeulen have been topping the waiting list for two months on these )
Suspension (I'll take her to track a couple of times before these just to see how the stock suspension feels)
- I'll send the forks to WP factory for Euro Superstock speck upgrade (there are no Dan Kyle's here, factory treatment is cheaper than shipping transatlantic to Dan, not to mention waiting time)
- WP Fully adjustable rear shock
Maybe's
- Translogic QS4 quickshifter (I really should get this idea out of my head )
- Moriwaki rearsets |

I read somewhere it was ok as long as it was under 20km/h or something like that but essentially the traffic had to be static. |

What don't you like about the slip on look? I'll see if I can hunt you down something to suit you.
As for lane splitting, it's a no no. ANY time. BUT appasrently there's a loop in the law that says lane splitting is when your vehicle takes up space in two lanes atthe same time. Geesh, how often does that have to happen on a bike. I can get through most traffic lines staying in one lane. Ha |

Yeaa i dont lke the look of any of the slip ons so far, i think that they make the rear of the bike look unfinished. Maybe the Striker (Arata?) one is the best of the bunch so far.
Having just come of an SP1 with a full Yoshi system i'm enjoying the quiet turbune like ride!! |

Somewhere around $AU1500 with all the sensors and software options. You can knock off about $240 without the GPS software if you don't want it or have/can get your own. I still have to get it installed, there is someone around here that will do that for a few hundred bucks.
The instructions are comprehensive so you should be able to work it out yourself but I just don't have time at the moment. I had a quick look the other weekend but I'm still trying to work out where the alarm will fit on the 1000RR. I'll let you know more when it is installed. |
