| Motorcylce Blitz in Melbourne Every time I see a motorcycle cop in Melbourne I get pulled over for a license & rego check.
The reason for pulling me over is " Motorcycle Blitz ". The first few times I didn't mind but in 2 years I have been checked about 6 times by Motorcycle cops & 2 by Traffic cops.
I am starting to think it is a bullshit reason used all year round.
Has anyone else experienced this in Melbourne? |

| Re: Motorcylce Blitz in Melbourne I commute to the city every day and have only been pulled over 3 times in thirteen years (that long?), and that was during the school holiday periods. Cops don't generally bother in peak hour traffic. And you're right, Scooter Pigs are a pain in the arse. Got done for not having a mud flap once. They are worse than any other cop.

Poor old Zoppa he's got a few stories...que Zop | Yeah a friend of mine got pulled up on Beach Rd in St. Kilda. They fined him for not having a rear reflector $125 and riding and R6 while still on a restricted licence $110.
I have been pulled over a couple of times in the city. Once for a bald rear tyre, they didn't fine me for that but for not displaying my P-plate $110 and 3 POINTS. Also got pulled up in Williamstown for riding my bike on the footpath, I was supposed to walk it off the path and onto the road $75. |

| Re: Motorcylce Blitz in Melbourne I've only been pulled up once, but he picked his timing for maximum effect. Just past my P test and was still on my baby-blade without a P or L plates, having had a full license for more than 3 years I went straight onto a full bike license but still with restrictions. I was pulled up about 1/2 along the Napean Hwy on my way out of the city to a full-on 3 hour M$ certification test in frankston and to top it off, I'd had no sleep and food poisioning so I didn't really need the stress or delay.
Checked the rego and license and sent me on my way, I was told they we cracking down on people not displaying thier Plates.
Somehow I passed the test which only had about a 10% pass rate of people globably. Still not sure how I did it becuase I failed dismally in all the practice tests.
About 3 months ago I saw a guy on an R6 with L plates riding out of the city on Elizabeth Street, how bloody stupid can you be? So it would seem the cops have plenty of people willing to add to governments wealth. |

They are often worse than the squid bike riders...
Oh, of course, they are driving Ford's or Holdens, they are exempt...
