Best Deals around

Hey guys......anybody know who might have the best deals around in the 1000rr and the ( don't hate me ) ZX10r ( rode one the other day and was pretty impressed ) ?

Plus....will soon be listing the following for sale on here, Formula Extreme, and possibly ebay:

Micron Serpent with Ti Can
PCIIIr ( custom mapped for above by Sook )
Ohlins shock
Hyperpro Damper
Goodridge braided lines for the front ( NEW )
Race Fairing ( brand is Zaks......pretty average condition but does the job )
Adjustable rearsets off a 929 ( will fit 954 with spacer....as done on mine )....second hand and has been ground away a touch on the gear lever side....again....does the job

Any interest / offers ?

Cheers

Mike

Sook seemed to have a good deal and one of ratter's mates tracked down a good deal down in Melbourne too. Do a search for 1000rr prices the thread is around here somewhere.

hmmmm....also seems I may have to re-think the ZX10.....according to the www.mcnews.com.au website the recall that has been talked about WILL affect Australia after all.

Re: Best Deals around

Peter Stevens in Melbourne have the 10R at $16990 plus on roads. I'd wait a couple of months and get the run out Fireblades/zx10's/R1's at a discount.

What's the problem? They will replace the front wheel gratis. And anyway its not as if its going to be on the ground very much is it?

The problem would be that the new wheels aren't just sitting around waiting for to be put on.....as you can probably imagine they are mostly on backorder because I doubt very much Kawasaki would have imagined having to have something like 17,000 new front rims lying around just waiting.......and this would be assuming that they could have possibly made this many new ones since the fault was discovered

Re: Best Deals around

On the other hand, most recalls are a precaution, because one wheel, under extreme temp or outside conditions, had failed. BUT, The CBR is WAY better than the ZX10 dude. Don't believe the tools in the mags. Ride them, and you'll see the Blade's power is so much smoother and more linear, it doesn't shake it's head all over the show etc. BTW, for the guys that have ZX10's , I have a solution to your problem on the way. Can't say much yet, BUT, it has something to do with the mounting of the engine.......it's different in the production from the pre production bikes. Anyone interested, let me know. It's supposed to make the ZX10 steady as a rock.

Didn't think Arata did slip ons for ZX10s ! ( Sooks website indicates slip ons for 3 models only....CBR600, R6 and SP2 )

Yeah.....saw that......but when you look at everything I did to my bike, and figure I'll do the same to the new one......I REALLY don't want to be worrying about repainting ( not to mention the damage it does to resale )

Re: Best Deals around

Yep. Arata only do the full system for the ZX10, of which, I'll be doing one next week. I'll post the results when I'm done. I have Matris dampers for them though.......christ knows they need one. hahaha

Re: Best Deals around

Actually, I'd keep the original lower, and get a race glass lower (if possible) or one from a wrecker and paint that.

But anyway

What I love about the magazines are how they keep caning the blade because its too good. "it doesnt do anything bad....its too refined"....what a load of ****ing ****. The blade sucks because it doesnt shake its head, or break traction everywhere, or understeer on the power etc etc....what a bunch of tools....so because the bike isnt ****...its ****...

Re: Best Deals around

I agree 100% with you on that magazine thing Cowboy. I've said that many times here in the past.
Slip ons they do NOT do for the ZX10. But I'll check it out again and make sure. I have the ZX10 full systems on their way, should be here ANY day.
