Ride last sunday

Went for a ride around the Spurrs last sunday with some friends and a bunch of guys from the VTR forum. Saw the cutest thing.. a pack of CBR250's being led/ followed by a TLR (minus the front fairing).. Kinda like mother Duck and her ducklings

Hahahahaha
That was my mate Jason (aka Crashie McAssburn) on the TLR.
He is renowned for crashing hence the name.
There was a ride out on the 250 forum I'm on, but I didn't go.
Yeah that bike was immac but now it has no fairings apart from the tail, no mirrors and no indicators.

Fair enough. They were fairly responcible I guess (besides the guy who tried to do a burnout on a wet white line but didn't quite get it). There was another group on R1's and R6's (I think there was a blade there) which had a few who were game. One of the R6's overtook one of our guys on a ZZR on the outside up the reefton. It was raining and there was a fair bit of debris on the road.
All power to you if you can I guess..

I was the only sub 800cc bike there and the only inline that wasn't a Blade. I had a damn ball regardless. A few of those guy prefer riding in the dry and I'm used to commuting on highways at night when it's pouring so I had a great time.
As far as the 250s went, it didn't look like any of them were struggling for speed. To be honest, a 250 would be great around most of those roads (from my very little experience on them) for the amount of tight corners there are.

You arent kidding

I feel more confident as well although not nearly where I want to be yet but its a work in progress

Now that I look back at the past 2 seasons... riding the seca might have been the best thing I did. I got all my fundamentals or riding plus some lessons learned without riding a bike that will bite me. Jumping on the RC was wild at first but it was more an adjustment to the seating position and the clipons vs. bars then anything else
