Help 1000RR Suspension settings

Can anybody help with a good suspension setup for the 1000RR I'm 60 kg and am finding the bike a bit nasty comming out of bumpy corners while powering on. I've tried various combinations on the rear (Stock) but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

There are others who will be able to answer your suspension question better than I can but my understanding is that the stock suspension is designed for a lighter rider.
Have you set your sags correctly?
And what exactly do you mean by nasty?

But yea set your sag, what riding do you do, and describe what you mean by nasty.

Nasty in that the ass end is bouncing all over the place when I power out of undulating corners. It's just to set to hard I think. I followed some suspension settings from one of the bike mag sites (don't remember which one) but I think I stuffed up in that they were track settings. Now I don't know what the stock settings were. My mistake so I asked you guys for help.

I would say read the suspension articles here firstly and set ur sag first

If the 1000RR is anything like the 954, then the stock settings will be set too hard for someone of ur weight. So atfter u have set the sag turn down the rebound and compression bit by bit

Tape a cinder block to your

you fly weight

The stock settings are :
Forks
Pre-load adjuster 7 turns from minimum; Rebound adjuster 2 turns out from full hard; Compression adjuster 2 turns out from full hard
Rear
Spring pre-load Position 4; Rebound 2 1/2 turns out from full hard; compression damper 9 clicks out from full hard

Hope this at least gets you back to a nice starting point

No worries. The owners manual should have the stock settings in it.

I know what you mean though, I'm about 62kg and compared to the 929 this is as hard as a rock. I'm gonna start backing things off to try to make it a bit smoother...

Keep an eye out for Performance Bikes. They usually have setup tips . I think they may have already done one.

Got onto a bloke at Competition conversions here in Adelaide who while Dyno-ing my bike told me he had just returned from three months in England setting up their 1000RR superbikes. Dont know what team but he gave me some tips as well as offering me all the fairings they pulled of the race bikes. Luck gotta come your way sometimes. Anyway the bike's even softer now and seems to be such a better ride for my weight. I was used to mushy front ends that you used to have to make hard as so you didnt dive everytime you hit the front brake.
By the way the dyno results were 144hp at the wheel. Thought it would be more but I workin on it.
