| [Melb] Friday night coffee every week <-- sticky me please Hi all,
For all the Melbournites come on down the southbank of a Friday night and grab a coffee/beer/meal with a whole lot of other riders. I've been going the last few months and always a huge turn out. http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4027
It was originally started by a local Suzi Across forum, then Netriders starting inundating it and since then ever forum and their dog have pretty much been told.
You can park your bike right on the prominarde about 50m along from the St Kilda Rd/Swanston St bridge, just take it nice and slow along it until you get down to just outside the Bear Brass.
See you guys there!!

Might be missing the next two myself due to a lass and my trip to tassie. But there are pleanty others to chat to Cowboy should be there.
Quite a few people drive, just part down near the boat sheds and walk down. Quite a few people cage it in so they can have a few beers. Even then it ranges between 20-40 bikes sitting at southbank at any one time with a pretty decent turnover as well. |

Due to Christmas eve the bulk of the usual crowd are going to be there on Thursday night, same place same time (however we are going to leave earlier than normal to delivery a replica helmet to the family of a rider killed by a drunk rider from all victorian riders. Then there was a netrider band on at the espy I think.). A more hardy crowd will be there on Friday but due to it being christmas eve I doubt there will be a huge turn out. Next week it should be back to normal. |

What he said!! Usually a crowd of 40-50 bikes but as the weather turns bad it dwindles and if pissing down we all pike.......but we should still get good turn outs for a few weeks to come.
Any and everyone is welcome so thrown the missus on the back and come and have a yarn. |

Holy **** didn't realise you had an off.....good to hear you walked away from it.
Almost had the same thing happen to me today but the driver did it intentionally because he was an idiot and didn't have the paitence to let a new rider go at her own pace (70 in an 80 zone) through some back roads, thankfully as tail end charlie I was able to insulate her from his driving in the gravel shouldered, tail gateing and just general stupidity which culminated in him accelerating AT my rear wheel and jamming on his brakes and skiding with a few centremetres of me. He then took the right turn down a side road, must have been a local. |

Ratter just remembered that your missus has her own wheels....both of you should come on down.
To give you a few ideas of what its like, here are a few photo albums of the Shave for a cure night we had two weeks ago. Sure not exactly a normal firday night coffee but it'll do......... http://gallery.gregnet.com.au/igalle...cure\&p age=0 http://spaces.msn.com/members/church...&_c=photoalbum http://www.thisstupidurl.com/ShaveForACure2005/ |

| Re: [Melb] Friday night coffee every week <-- sticky me please Doubtful if I'll get to coffee this Friday (today), got a work do on as well as meeting some uni mates. Plus there won't be too many people there this week due to them all being down at the supers.
Next week should see attendance back to its usual 40-50 bikes unless its absolutely pissing down. |
