| 2005 Repsol 1000RR has arrived As a precaution I was getting my bikes electrics checked out at Redwing Honda (checked, charged, washed and tighted the brakes for $30.....Redwing ROCKS!!!!! Especially after being royally screwed by Peter Stevens North Melb!!!). When I picked up the bike there was a 2005 Repsol getting worked on, they'd just installed a micron exhaust and were giving it a little to test it out. Sounded pretty damn good.
I could see another 2 Repsols in their crates ready to be checked over. Looks like the 2005 models are ahead of schedule.
Redwing was also installing a cell in their workshop for their new Dyno. Might have to thrown my bike on there next service.

| Re: 2005 Repsol 1000RR has arrived Went back to Redwing again today with another flat battery (looks like the regulator/rectifier is the problem hope they can sort it out by the end of tomorrow when I leave for Tassie ).
Looks like there is another two repsols stacked in thier crates on the other side of the service area. Make 5...4 for which are still lying around.
As I said they were working on one Repsol when I picked my bike up at the start of this week. As the guys was rolling the repsol with the micron exhaust off the hydrolic lift I should have took the guys offer of switching bikes. Then'd I be care free and ready for tassie rather than getting around on a VTR250 and hoping like hell it all gets sorted.
EDIT: its official the bike is getting hte Sator replaced under warrantee but its going to talk about 2 weeks. So no Tassie trip for me.

Going to try and tag along on another trip sometime. Might be this time next year for the Tassie Bike week but I'll see. |

yer I'd have to agree, looks a lot better in person than it does in the pictures I've seen but still the orange doesn't work for me. Tri-colour 1000RR is still the best!!
Don't got no photos due to busted camera and being flat out trying to get to Tassie. |

true but there are dryer periods than others which lend themselves to better rides. but I generally throw my leg over the bike most days of the week. |

And above all what ever you do don't take your bike to be service at the Peter Stevens workshop in North Melbourne, they were more than happy to take my bike out and thrash it, they'll definitely want to give the the 05 model a thrashing too.
You have been warned!!!! I'm in the process of lodging a formal complaint to the regional store manager for Honda, so I'm 100% serious about this. |

I'm telling you don't let the Peter Stevens guys even look at it, Redwing are the guys that will look after you.
Break off all deals with Peter Stevens and chat to Redwing I can't be any clearer than that but if you want more info.... I'm off to Tassie on Saturday!!!
I pumped over $30k into Peter Stevens and they didn't want to know me, haven't given Redwing a cent and they bent over backwards to get me to Tassie. I had no idea customer service could be that good or how badly I was being screwed until I went to Redwing.

| Re: 2005 Repsol 1000RR has arrived never had a problem with the people at Peter Stevens before, my mate was actually the one who sold me the bike and i got an awesome deal.
Will make sure to check everything over before i hand the bike in for the service and yoshi fitting, will reset the tripmeter and stuff like that, tho im gonna have a nice word to Jason before i hand over my keys this friday.
Thanks for the heads up tho man, oh and btw the yoshi was part of the purchase so either way i dont care. I know for fact it sounds and looks good, performance wise i will see how i go. |
