| New Member, New Repsol Howdy,
Just posted in the repsol thread, got the invite over here from Zop, so now i am officially part of the dark side
Used to ride a Telefonica Gsxr600, sold that, bought a work bike (97 gs500) then realised summer was round the corner and that i needed a real bike, was planning on my dream of an 05 gsxr750 but then i saw THIS thing and just had to have one, so i bought it! http://img96.exs.cx/img96/1889/repsol24fl.jpg
so ive had it just over a week now, clocked up close to 900km and having the yoshi exhaust installed on friday, hopefully right before getting the 1000km service done.
Did a big ride to bacchus marsh and the yuan yuangs this past weekend and this bike is pretty friggin awesome, looking forward to some great times and some great rides.
so, hi everyone! |

Redwing are installing a dyno (might even be finished now) so you could do a before and after run with the pipe to see how it goes. Phil Taiton Racing would be another great option and probably would have a good idea which pipe would give you the most bang for buck. |

Yer I suppose Sook would know a thing or two about it as well being Phil's counterpart in Sydney.

i like it cleaner without all the extra stickers. oh and unfortunately the yoshi is getting put on this friday, part of the bike deal so me no worry, have already seen/heard a cbr1000 with one on and it sounds sweeeet
IMO the microns look like a$$, too similar to the stocker, havent seen an arata pipe yet. |

Looks shmooks.............. you buy a pipe for h.p first, quality and looks next. The Yosh looks like a piece of industrial work compared to the others, and make sfa h.p. About 2 from memory on the one I did here. So you got it with the bike............. great, rip it off, sell it to some other sucker, and get a good pipe. Haha Arata now do slip ons also for the CBR1000RR. Previously they only did systems. |

| Re: New Member, New Repsol Haha. Matter of fact I can............... ME. Haha I'm about 10-15 min away from Eastern Creek on the Hume Hwy at Lansvale. (near Liverpool).
Nup, Yoshi are the most over rated pipes around in my opinion. I have seen time and again, other pipes out perfrom Yosh pipes, both mufflers and systems, yet as soon as someone thinks of a pipe, they think "Yoshi" thinking they're the best etc. They ain't. Even on Suzuki's, who as soon as they get one, the owners are lining up to throw Yoshi anything at it, but where a Yosh slip on gives the GSXR1000 3-4h.p, where a Micron gives it 8-10. And Yosh are supposed to be THE pipe for Suzuki, or so Suzuki owners think. Haha.
I did a GSXR1000 the other day that had a Yosh slip on on it already. We dithced it, put an Arata system on it, it made 11 more h.p. Not over standard, but over the Yoshi slip on. I've done a CBR600RR with a Yosh full system and mapped, made the same power as a Mcron or Arata slip on mapped. It gave it 1.5.6 or something, where the Arata system will give it 110-112h.p. So why would you? But anyway, each to their own. |
