Re: Bad News Fellow Victorians

Won't be worth moving, victoria is just the testing ground for frontal IDs (note: not nessecarily stick on plates, could also be electronic systems as pre the action plan), they are intended to be picked up by the other states as well it seems.

Re: Bad News Fellow Victorians

I'm a bit confused being new to Aus and all... What the heck do these things look like.
I just can't figure out where they would put a front decal on some bikes?

They have no idea what they will look like or where they till go on the front of the motorcycles, it's all at tender and there sussing out the numbers crunch to see if its worth the dough, which already they know it won't. Relax my fellow Mexicans it aint happening! I have a good snout and he says no go!

There are some old photos of concepts that were developed. They were in some PDFs I linked to in an old post. The link is now dead but I've gone back and added the PDFs as attachments to that post.

If you look at the 3rd PDF in this post you should get a glimpse of what they are thinking of.

From what I understand the decals exist and the tender is to test them for durability. They are apparently full sized (i.e. car sized) decals that will probably be attached to bikes with a $30-40 rubber bracket you are going to have to go out and buy yourself.

its not just us Mexicans that should be getting worked up but the whole of Australia, all the states are funding it as well as the federal government. Victoria is the trial state, if it happens here its going to happen in ALL the states and territories, because it is in the Federal NEW ROAD SAFETY ACTION PLAN. Hence all the states/territories will have this by 2006/2007 if nothing is done to stop it.
