There are a few from netrider heading down on Sunday but my guess is that most poeple will have gone down there on Saturday or Friday. I would have gone down there on Saturday if this Wedding wasn't in the way. | Re: WSB @ P.I Sunday Word of Warning for those coming from the East of PI http://abc.net.au/news/australia/vic...3/s1334383.htm Riders warned of highway delays VicRoads is warning motorcycle fans heading to Phillip Island this weekend to avoid the Strzelecki Highway. Bikers from across Victoria and New South Wales are expected to flock to the world Superbikes event. But VicRoads' eastern manager, Dave Shelton, says major roadworks on the Strzelecki Highway between Morwell and Leongatha are causing significant delays. He says riders heading to the island from eastern Victoria should use the South Gippsland Highway from Sale instead. "I would suggest people plan to avoid the Strzelecki Highway where they can," he said. "If it's not possible then certainly be aware that apart from delays there may be roadwork sites that may include loose stone and rough surfaces, so particularly for motorcyclists to be vary wary of that." |
