"PETE", if you're thinking of a global trip, don't forget the Netherlands for their cafe society and the UK can probably match Australia for a relaxed attitude to roll your owns. Then there's a few African and Caribbean countries would probably extend your trip. LOL.

And for the record, I don't partake.

Sorry Z but that is
It is illegal. Always has been although for a while back in the 70s and 80s there was a loophole because the law prohibited the drug "cannabis" when in reality the drug is THC. They fixed that years ago. Besides, Canberra is not the home to the nations politicians, it is their work place. Little Johnnie doesn't even live here thank f*ck.

And bash Canberra if you like. We are 10 mins from the twisties, 90 mins from the surf and 2 hours from the slopes and I can ride 10k to work in 8 mins

Still a big price to pay for living in a hole ... that place makes me feel depressed. Man, someone needs to slaughter the architects down there. Looks like they shipped a whole lot of Germans out from post WWII and said "Build us depressing ... now!"

I have to agree that a lot of the architecture looks like it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wrong and anything with any character seems to get demolished to have another pile of tacky white boxes put there. The new Kingston foreshore development is an opportunity to redress this but from what I've seen so far it is more of the same or worse.
