You know it's uncanny that you should happen to drop your bike on the Mansfield- Whitfield road cause the same road claimed me back in October. I banged up my arm on that ride and spend a night at the Wangaratta hospital. I'm seeing a surgeon about it in June. I was also pushing it hard but in control and the rear washed out on me on a tight left hand corner. Ended up crashing into the barrier on the other side of the road and my arm got caught in the railing. Anyway, got the blade back from the repairers in late February and have since sold it. I'm buying a zx6r next week. I'm Actually test riding one on saturday at brighton kawasaki. yeehaaa can't wait...
Cheers to everyone else on the forum.

| Re: matt232 goes rubber side up Hey matt you can get a full set of race glass, for about 1200 bucks
even less sometimes, and they come in street versions that have cut outs for lights and indicators. |

I know the ambo that worked on you. Hes a mate from another bike forum.
Hope you pulled though ok.
I spoke to Vicroads about the signage on the offending corner and they have gone up and checked it out. A number of new signs will be added to indicate the type of corner it is and the recommended speed is being dropped from 50km/h to 45km/h. I would have like to see it taken down to 30km/h but no amount of talking would get the bloke to bring it lower but he did say he would have another look at it. Still it is a improvement over what was there and with some luck it will remove some of that corner's infamy.
I hope the test ride goes well, if so you might want to have a look at these threads http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3966 http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5147

| Re: matt232 goes rubber side up Bike has been getting fixed this week, hopeing it would have been finished for the weekend but alas I'm bikeless, and wouldn't you know it, its sunny and the freakier thing is that I've got time on my hands.
With any luck I'll be checking out the aussie superbikes tomorrow and make a little detour to the site of my off before heading home. |

"Back on wheels!" with a pointer to this one For a second I thought a pal had grazed pavement again and I don't want any of that going round.
