| Re: The Little guy is getting hitched rideout! I'm told the best alternative of the two would be the coastal road along hwy 1. Less police presence (Don't want to lead a mailbox stuffer to its natural prey do we?) just have to be warry of wildlife once we go past Millicent (~50km out of Mt Gambier).
Also having another look at the Map we probably wouldn't go down to Portland but rather cut up towards Heywood. Should save us about 25km and would mean we'd be on a better road surface.
At this stage I'd like to post this link |

BTW, I was referring to your plans as in your schedule. Look forward to meeting you guys if you make the trip over. Actually, as you know, I'll have to somewhat behave myself on Friday - can't be hung over at the ceremony. |

Also forgot to mention in my last post that any and all Aussies are welcome to attend. Zeeman, I realize you're a long way off but I know you'll be there in spirit, if not body. | Yep but the water crossing is to deep for the RR

| Re: The Little guy is getting hitched rideout! I'm getting paid to ride back on Monday!!! We've got a site over in Adelaide which has been trying to get me to come over and check out the computers. Don't think there are any issues at the moment but I'm sure they'll come up with something. Offered to drop in there on Monday morning before heading for home at Lunch time and the Boss was happy for me to ride in the afternoon while still getting paid!!! I guess its cheaper then paying for a plane ticket and accomdation if I was sent over there.
Means one of two things.
1. I can hit the bottle harder the night before.
2. I can join up with the locals on Sunday and try out some of the interesting local roads.
I guess the two of you are going to have to find your own way home on Sunday unless you want to hang around until Monday. |

| Re: The Little guy is getting hitched rideout! Ok so:
Me: Staying in Adelaide until Monday Lunch time and doing a straight run to Melbourne probably via Penola, Hamilton, Ballarat.
Will: Leaving Adelaide Sunday and stopping somewhere sunday Lunch time, then riding to Melbourne on Monday, presumably having another crack at the GOR.
Cowboy: Leaving Adelaide Sunday and arrive home in Melbourne that night.
At least there are plenty of options. |

| Re: The Little guy is getting hitched rideout! I know that the journey is the adventure but has anyone priced plane or bus tickets to Adelaide?
Just thinking 4-5 tanks of fuel, what would be the price diff, Bacchy has to pick up some mates from the airport anyway, plus we can take some proper dress attire, just a thought. And if we leave friday home sunday, less time needs to be taken off work |
