| Sydney to Melb return First post here. Just returned from riding my 04 cbr1000rr from sydney down to melb and back. For anyone thinking of doing similar, i would highly recommend going the coast way. As much as possible i diverted of the Princess Hwy to stick right by the coast. I was in no rush so did it over 3 days Day 1 - Syd to Merimbula Day 2- Merimbula to Lakes Entrance and Day 3 Lakes Entrance to Melbourne. Some of the best road i have rideen on was just north of Merimbula through the Bournda N.P and Biamanga N.P. Awesome. Cheap accomodation in both Merimbula and Lakes Ent. Bike ran well, and was given its 18000km service whilst in Melbourne. Have had blade for 6 months now and couldn't live without it! | |

| Re: Sydney to Melb return Sure is. Stayed at Kingfisher hotel for anyone interested in Merimbula. Awesome views, great rooms and cheap, $55 a night. Owners ride a VFR so greet bike riders with a beer and let you put you bike in their garage for protection. Highly recommend them. Will be travelling down that way in summer for sure! |
