.... if you're from Broome or Darwin, I got a few questions for ya.
I'll be headding to melbourne for work to assemble one of our helicopters, once its unloaded from the boat, and then will be headding to broome to look after the machine while its there. After that, we'll be headding to Darwin to continue ops till the contract is finished. What I'm wondering is, what is the cost of living like? Examples of price of Beer (most importantly), large pizza, good meal at a decent restraunt, milk, etc. and can you eat decently on $90 a day??
Any extra info would be appreciated too.

hi from melb, have never been to broome or darwin. but broome is a tourist town and therefor most things will cost more than melb. a carton of beer in melb cost about $36.00 (24 x 375ml) for full strength a pizza under $15.00 milk @$2.00 p/liter and the average price for a main meal at a decent restraunt ranges from $25.00 to $50.00 found this site for you to have a look at. htt p://www.broomewa.com/

Most aussies wont have been to Broome - its a long way from Sydney and Melbourne - heck its a long way from the nearest city Perth.

$90 a day should keep you very well fed!
While a restaurant might cost about $30 for a meal you should be able to have a very decent feed for more like $20 - try a pub or club.

Just be warned its going to be damn warm - Darwin this time of year will be 35 every day.
