| Australian Blade Riders Hi Everyone.
Just hoping to get in touch with some Australian Riders. I'm in Victoria myself. Usually head to Phillip Island every year for the GP.
I'm on a brand new 2007 CBR1000RR. I dont think much of the 08' at this stage. The race set up looks great, the street version; not so great.
Anyway, any aussie riders want to get in touch or talk, come in here. |

Where are the best rides you's have been on?
I'm just out of Geelong, so The Great Ocean Road would have to be
it for me. Love getting into the windies. |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders I've had mine for two weeks and I've done 1000km so far. Going to get it serviced for it's first 1k this weekend and then I dont have to worry about it for another 6-7k.
So I'm still running it in too, slowly picking up pace on it though... |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Hi All,
I live in Tassie now but have lived in Adelaide all my life. The roads here are OK.Lots of gravel on the corners & crazy farmers on the wrong side of the road.My favourite road is chain of ponds in Adelaide,I really miss it. I have 05 Blade i bought new 14000k on clock. Looking to update later this year just not sure what bike, either new Blade or GSXR. Dirt riding is the best ive ever seen here in Tas with endless tracks. Gives me somthing to do in the winter at least. |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Yes 08 blade. Depends how ugly it is in the flesh.I think it looks OK in photos but other half thinks its dead ugly+ depends on my trade in value. Honda dealer here seems to think there doing you a favour just talking to you.The Suzi dealer is pretty good here & want to do a deal. They both have more power then i need well most of the time anyway. |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Yeah. The stats on the 08' blade are awesome. I am one really against the looks though. Too fat in the front and too little in the rear. Just looks way out of proportion I think. As you know in the past, the GSXR has won bike of the year many times. But many riders believe that pretty controversial due to advertising money spent etc. Some Superbike and GP riders have been quoted saying people who ride them are the people who believe they are better than what they are. haha. I found that amazing. I was pretty keen on a GSXR before I got my blade. I could not go past the reliability of Honda though. If I had the money I would get a 2008 Kawaka ZX10R...!!! lol |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Yeah 08 ZX10 with traction control looks & sounds like the bike to beat i just havnt had a kwaka since 1989. Problem with all the race track tests on ZX10 over the years is the say how good they are then they road test them & tell you they dont handle the power. When i read stuff like that it puts me off. Blade has been a good ride id like to stick with Honda otherwise id have to change all my Honda merchandise. I guess the best way is to test ride all of them, I can never be bothered. If i had the money id buy them all lol |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Id like to ride the great ocean road one day. Looks wild.I dont think id like to go too fast on Vic roads though i would be to worried about being caught.Over here the public can dob you in for speeding ,what a joke. How would some old biddy doing 70 in 110 zone know how fast you were over taking her/him.In Adelaide ive seen bikes with number plates that flip up with a commodore boot cable. What bike did you have before your Blade lgmo? |

| Re: Australian Blade Riders Sounds like a good trip Noc... I'm waiting for some mates from Melbourne to head down here so I can do some more trips. Too Fast - before my blade I was strictly only a dirt rider. So I'm still slowely learning the ropes of the road bikes and the roads themselves. |
