Hi Will, thankyou for the "welcome". Are you getting a new blade?
I dont know how to ride the 954 yet, I just got it and still need to work on it, the exhaust valve sticks a bit, and the pre-load needs adjusting. Getting a Scott's steering damper in a week, "my very first bling" |

I so missed having a twin for the last 2 years after trading my TLR on a ZX10.
Everything feels right about the SP2... going in for its first service and sprocket swap on Monday, pipes on order

You blokes who were buying Factory Pro inlet trumpets and having your bikes dynoed a while ago...
What were the results? I can't find a follow-up thread?
Take care out there. |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there Thanks for the reply Z. I don't think i'll bother with the trumpets... Might still dick around with getting a better cold air set up for it though. How much grunt you blokes end up with anyway? BTW i'm not actually looking for more top end, I would like to fatten up the curve, remove the glitches and make it seamless.
Another Question. I was looking at those new GSXR600/750s with the little GP style pipe.... Man the 954 really deserves something like that. Anyone have any ideas?... Maybe i'll post this question elsewhere in technical and see who pipes up (sorry bad pun). |

I've seen that done with the acra evo full systems on 954s. People cut the carbon can to make a shorty. Thats OK but not the same. There are a couple of good examples of that on 1000rr.com |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there I was just thinking after looking at exhausts available myself, the VALE styling lends itself to being snugged in.
Unless the Boz Bros. come out with a can for the 954, I don't think Manufacturers will offer a solution. If you're fabbing yourself, the skies the limit. Good Luck.

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there Could be worse could be the sato banzai hi mount I bet those pipes sounds as sweet as it looks. Never seen those cans before, how do they go? Right now you need the flapper mod, tinted screen, tail light fender eliminator, regearing, pc3usb, mod the air filter....
I've decided i will wait for the right 04 model, I prefer the silver frame as that's the WSC and AMA and BSC frame colour, I'm a bit wierd in that that's the superbike look so that's what I'll go for. Was thinking of getting a white one and doing it up in Castrol colours but prefer the black and will do the BSC colour scheme instead.
Oh and have you heard the rumour of the all new Firestorm 12000cc V-twin for 07'? Could be very interesting

Tis hard to imagine any pipes sounding bad on the SP - these are definitely quieter than yoshis, which is a good thing in the police state called Queensland. Same thing with undertails which have been blitzed here lately.
PC will happen when funds allow - easier to justify the $$$ for noise from a "safety" perspective
ANother tick for the silver frame / swingarm is I am sure they will show scratches a hell of a lot less than the black of the 05.
Re 07 bikes... was sitting on the fence thinking about holding off to see what is coming out, then thought about another year for bugs to be sorted and it boiled down to screw it, I want one of these, and mine was the last new unit left in Qld to my knowledge. Good luck on your search!!
