Been reading the last few pages, all the regulars have seemed to have moved on, real shame, I remember in the post whore days we would get a dozen posts a day easy...ah the memories. |

(it must get mad during the aussie gp tho) My early x-mas pressie is a '03 954, red/black with 6.5k on it. No real mods yet but am wondering if it really needs any. She's very good out of the box but once you start to push her on rough twisties the front end doesn't cope too well, so I'd recommend linear rate springs and if you can afford it revalving too. Depending on your weight (??) the rear may need a heavier spring or else just revalving. Both of those mods will transform the machine. We have a suspender pro down here who has a magic touch with blades and just a rear revalve has removed much of the harshness and the squat when powering out of corners on mine. (Front springs and revalve; rear revalve: $650). Yeah, we did the GOR couple of weeks back and had a hoot; there's some good roads in and out via the Otways that are less patrolled by Mr Plod. But elsewhere, many of the roads around the Alps are closed by fire (just when it's holiday fang time). Hope you get some of the wet stuff up your way. |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there Good work dicknose, im down with 6 mates,2 of us riding down,we stay at Cape Woolami,not far from the track,we get there on friday night,get up saturday morning,go up the road and watch about 50k of bikes go by to the track. We only got gen admin tix we sit on the last corner into the straight,good view through lukey heights and down into the last corner. Look for the loudest bunch on that corner and its probably us. Your right! the weather will most likely play havoc down there for sure. All i say is an Aussie triple,Casey ,Verm & Westy would set the joint ablaze. Cant wait!! |
