That's the advantage of living in close to the city (Inner East), no massive ride to get somewhere just a nice ride in either direction. Zop are you east or west?

Selling the bike cause of study commitments, in 12 months or so I'll look at a Triumph Daytona centenial edition, which you can still get new. Hmmmm Triple
Can't make the twilight ride cause I'm working
Matt I hope you many safe and happy days on the 1000 blade but I do think your naive to think that 2 years out of riding last getting of a 250 is not a big leap, your in for a shock 40 hp to what, claiming 180!!! p lease |

How is that naive?
But Will, putting it like that, I'm looking forward to it even more now! |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there The Melbourne Motorshow has a CBR1000R on a revolving pedestal....alas I wasn't allowed to go near it let along sit on it. The public is kept at an arms length unfortunately.
It was a bit disappointing I wanted to check out how much room is left in the seat compartment, now that the exhaust is is under there and Honda is adding the Ulock. But apparently they don't have the keys...
If anyone is going, it looks like the whole Honda sport-touring range is there is you want to check it out. The other bikes really didn't get much of my attention though.
The guys I spoke to at the Honda stand tentatively told me that the Fireblade is expected to be priced in the $18k-$19k bracket which is much better than the $19k-$20 on my deposit receipt and other sources willing to hazard a guess at the price.
I might also have some other interesting news as well, just need to check something first...stay tuned.

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there An interesting widget that was at the Motorshow. Road Angel
Supposedly has accurate speed readouts using GPS postioning, is "Motorcycle compatiable" (for an extra $80) and provides warnings of Accident blackspots, school zones, red light cameras, average speed cameras and fixed speed cameras. So if you've got a spare $995 (or $895 direct from the motorshow) you'll be better informed. But there does seem to be a subscription fee after the first 12 months. |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there 9k rpm looks like nice spot to sit on.
Which reminds me there was a good article on the Power Vs Torque debate on page 74 of the Feb issue (#106) of Ride magazine.

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there Power is nothing with out Torque and Torque is nothing without the Revs for it to be used...so you just need a nice rev range with a good dose of Torque...ie our bikes |
