| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there Fastest Ive had mine is 268kph (~167mph) in fifth @ about 11k, it was still pulling pretty hard I just backed off because the road was turning to crap, actually that was my first 954, My second one I could only hit 252kph by the same spot last time i was there, dont know if it was to do with the air density on the day (as it was much cooler the first time) or if the new one doesnt go quiet as well (Think it was more to do with the air temp on the day) Remember we have 42 tooth rear sprokets as opposed to the 43 in the US, that should make approximately 7-8kph difference in top speed if you can pull maximum rpm in top? |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there 275 km/hr in 6th.
I'm sure in actual fact it is less due to the error in the spedo.
It was still pulling but had to let go. I was running out of road. |

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there I wonder how acurate the stock speedo is? I dont think its too bad actually, I know its much more accurate than the wildly optimistic speedo on my mates GSXR1000!

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there i did 287kmh on tuesday in 6th at about 11,000rpm so i had rmp left but it wouldnt go any faster...i though that it might be the wind not letting it go faster(i had a bitch of a crosswind)... i tried 8 times to clock it but couldnt do any better than 287kmh on the clock...i also videotaped it.(it got to 270 no prob but then started to go up real slow)..i really want to get to 300kmh (i know it wont be right coz the clock will be out) but i still want to do it....will i be able to if i get a PC111?? or will i have to retooth it??
also 6th is not a real gear its like 5.5 or something...the revs didnt change a bit maybe 1-2 thou rmp and thats all.
cheers for the help..and you oldies dont yell at me you were young once..even if it was a damn long time ago

| Re: Hi to all the other Aussies out there the road i did it on was at my familys farm up in the grampians....4km dead straight and no traffic and its just been resurfesed...and i checked for crap on the road and i had my bro there if anything went wrong....so i cant really control it much more than that...i looked up on the net and i dont think the blade dose 300kmh on the clock (290kmh real speed) i think i was at about max speed...so back to my old question how would i get my bike to 300kmh??
if i up the power i still might run out of gears...so would i add a tooth to the back or front? cheers |
