new model

what makes you fancy a new model, blade , R1 ,Gixer, Ninja, knowing that
there will always be an update coming every 1,2 3,4 years ,what makes you
part with your hard earned cash for that model in particular,i know from owning all the aforementioned brands that i just loved the repsol.
go the mighty doohan!

Re: new model

I bought the new '90 GSXR750 because I intended to race it and it was significantly different to the '88/'89. First bike with inverted forks was pretty radical. I bought it before it had been released and had to await its arrival after writing off my '88 model. I got the 40th bike off the production line.
I bought the '98 GSXR750 because it was injected over the previous carbed models and I enjoyed the test ride.
The current models I have zero interest as new bikes although at some point I expect I'll find myself owning some as secondhand propisitions.

Re: new model

Saw the 08 Blade at the Sydney bike show and decided then and there i was going to have one. Probably another 8 or 9 months before i got to buying it.
That was after the missus getting a new kitchen.

Re: new model

I have this problem every year. I can not decide if I should buy a new bike or not , thus I still have my 02 954. I used to race suzuki's but always had Honda's as streetbikes. Of course during that time I would get a new gsxr every year. Not too long ago I was dead set on getting a 1098(ducati) and now there is an 1198, I probably would have been p*ssed if I did get it. I now own a house and alot of money has been going into it so if I get a new bike I won't be getting another one for a long time. I want to make it count when I do decide. But long story short, if your a good rider it does not really matter which one you get it will be fast, it is all about which one you like the best.

Re: new model

lack of self control is what brings on the new purchase.. as long as the blades are ugly my 06 is still the best on the street..haha.. but really, if it was a better year, i'd really be knee deep in the new repsol..
