So im off to get off my L's :P

Hey guys,

I managed to get a booking for my PRA... THIS month too 28 oct. awesome!

But i need to fix something first, how hard is (I believe) a crank seal to replace? is it as easy as a car? took the bike to work on saturday and now there is oil staining on right hand side, coming from a big Alan Key bolt... so my guess is a crank seal?? I will take a pic if needed tonight but right now im off to work...

Re: So im off to get off my L's :P

Unlikely to be a crank seal.
Which bolt is it exactly?

Re: So im off to get off my L's :P

I think i may have sorted out the issue... It's the big bolt in the gear/sump casing on the side, above the big Honda.. i gave it a tweak with the allan key, it wasn't tight at all, as in, it was finger loose...

and thank you dicknose, I will be, already have had a couple of brown trouser moments. people in perth are the worst at looking... oh and i need to grow some so I can lean it over and feel comfortable...

Re: So im off to get off my L's :P

I just worry even more now - a lady at work on her Ls got hit while turning right at some lights by someone coming thru very late on the green.
She is ok - but 8 weeks later still have metal rods sticking out of her leg.

Look and dont assume people have seen you!

Did it tighten up okay?
If you mean one of the timing inspection plugs, they have o-rings on them so you may need a new o-ring.

I dont know. Maybe. but it was real bad loose, if it leaks again i will check the oi seal...

Yeah a RAAFie got collected 2 weeks ago in a 110 zone, he is still in intensive care. It worries me too, but that's the price to pay for some fun unfortunately

I was chatting with a mate last week (Mark that you met, Chris) and we got to reminiscing about our crashes and times we've spent in hospital and having to work with broken bones. It really is quite astounding how much pain and injury we'll accept as just a normal part of riding bikes. Several times it occured to me that any non-riders listening to us would've been totally stunned :-)

The guy four doors up from Mark's shop does radiators.
Or Graham at AAA Radiators is good too.
What's blown exactly and how bad is it?

I can't imagine it's not repairable.
The core is just a bunch of tubes so you can simply block the damaged one off - I cut the bottom three tubes off the core on my ZX6R to clear the tyre. Otherwise you should be able to get it re-cored.

Hey Chris, can you help this guy out?

Do you know where the original VIN is on your bike?
