I think we had a/some QLD members at one stage, not sure about SA they have some good hills too ride in, as for tasmania, apparantly they have some of the best roads for motorcyling in the world, but it's gotta be hard for the two headed freaks to get helmets
Yikes this thread is old.... BUT HEY - I'm new to the .org NT Stubby, not seen on of those before....

For the record;

I'm from Queensland - North QLD at that! I can get hot, but that's better than the freezing conditions they get down south. I happily ride all year round in my full leathers

Oh... and sports bike sell very well here even tho the nearest all day twisties (local ones are short) are 1000kms away! BUT it's all good!

So is the Volvo sold?
Was I right that they are rocks?
Who is going to be my guide when I ride Tasmania, as killer roads with two headed locals sounds fun?
Australia is great to go to but Alabama and Tennessee suck so don't move here, but if any Aussies are in the neighborhood ever give me a Baa and i can show you some of the less sucky places

sheep, sheep, sheep... the star attraction here is the Darwin stubby. But if you're so smitten by the "vulva" rock, I'll ship it to you. It really is a quite beautiful thing, and I owe you one anyway.

I thought you really had a Volvo to sell to Maxib

Not much attraction there then, I am a mostly alcohol free sheep. Suprisingly there are those that say I don't need alcohol to loosen up

Message in a bottle......bottle that big is good enough to be called a boat....boats have to be launched.....since you and Chain have history with letterbox stuffing I'm guess he wouldn't mind picking it up and giving it a good solid throw into the drink to start the voyage.

Don't know why I try.

Heading down there in November for the second year running...fantastic roads you won't be disappointed.

THere are also a couple of Tassie members on here, caught up with EASY954 (Matt) down at Joe Garages in Hobart and had a ball. Definately a place to put on your must see places on a Tuesday night for bike night.

Once i get back from this latest trip I'll throw up both route maps and you can see what you want to do.

Also if you can time your ride with the Ducati Tourismo or Aussie Bike Week I'm sure you'd have an absolute ball.

While you're here you may as well jump on the boat and give Victoria a visit, take in the Great Ocean Road and the other usual roads.

Oh really? Is this an open invite ride or do you meet a 2 headed lass last time you were down there?

Re: What is this, my Aussie friends?

Heading to the Nurburgring in July, stopped for fuel somewhere in Belgium, saw two British registered bikes CBR600s (steel framed jobbies), so thought it would be a good thing to exchange greetings with them.

Turned out to be two London based Tamanians doing a bit of touring whilst they had the chance. Young lads, maybe late twenties.

Me: Where you headed? .

Tazzies: Going to the Ring for a quick lap or two and then try and get to Heidelberg tonight. (Note this is a long journey and in my opinion they wouldn't do it)

Me: where you hoing after that?

Tazzies: Turkey

Me: Fooking hell!! Now that is a long, long way! Why Turkey?

Tazzies: Dunno really. Never been before, might never get another chance, just thought we'd have a look. It's only 4000 miles or something.

Me: Bloody hell!!

Gotta love Australians.
