I'd have to change the front as well to get the benefit out of them, andI aint chaning early when tyres cost a ****en fortune. Plus the new 014 will be out soon ... mid year. June/July, about my next tyre change after this one. Can't wait for those beauties.

| Re: .org Aussie rideouts Guys, just because a NEW tyre is coming or has come, don't mean it's good. The Pilots are crap as far as I'm concerned and everyone that walked into the shop when they first came out was asking for them. Funnily enough, not many came back wanting another.
I've sold rears for bikes with different fronts etc, and they still say the Diablo is a better tyre. Look at Josh B at the WSS. Never used them (pirelli's) before, and won the friggin race on them. |

| Re: .org Aussie rideouts I run the diablo's on my 929 and I really like them. I havent had them out on the track but for the street they're the bees knees. The pilots are unpredictable and I don't like them. I've seen too many people come off on "slipstones" and this has put me off them, but they could be ok. IMHO the dunlops are the best but they don't last very long. |

| Re: .org Aussie rideouts No, sorry, he used Pirelli Super corsa's. But they are from the same if not an even better pedegree. My point was just on Pirellis in general. You CAN buy the tyres they race on, they're not like Michelin slicks where the top 3 teams get one tyre, the rest get ****. Try them, and tell me I'm wrong |

anyway i think its a real bitch of a thing to do... but how would they do it?? cut a wire?, pull a fuse? or is there something down next to the front sprocket that can be disconnected?? when i got my cbr250rr it had its speedo cable unscrewed

I guess you could try .. but that'd be cheating and not very fair to the next guy that buys your bike. Plus, the first time they get it serviced they can often tell. |

ive just had the second service on the blade..and its only been 3 months since i got it new
i do a lot of K's would it be a good idea if i dropped a tooth on the front sprocket to get the speedo corrected?? so i wouldnt be doing K's that were on the clock... well the weathers gorgeous..so im off to the reefeten |

Now the front sprocket would be spinning faster for the same rear wheel speed, essentially meaning your speedo would read higher for your actual ground speed and put more kays on it. If you want it to read correctly, buy one of the aftermarket calibration kits. I'll probably get around to it soonish myself.
I do a few kays myself, but only 7500km in 4 months. |

When I do I guess i'll find out the answer! Hopefully it doesn't require any butchering of the standard wiring loom. |
