Race fairings for 954

Hey fellow Aussies !

Just a polite inquiry........has anyone here managed to find a supplier of race fairings for the 954 apart from Racer's Edge ( who charge a fortune ) ?

Most of my riding is on track now so it is beginning to become a NECESSITY that I stop risking my stock plastics.

Any advice welcome and needed !

Our local bike shop damaged a 954 last year on the track so they put race glass on it, not sure of the brand, but maybe you could give them a call and ask Mornington motorcycles 03 59759522, ask for Paul, he is the owner and I think the crasher

one of my mates just got a race fairing for a F4i and it was only $600- he said it would be the same for my bike....ill ask where he got it from...im also looking for one soon so i can take my bike down PI

It's funny you know......EVERYONE makes a fairing for the 929......but so few make them for the 954. All the bike shops assume it will be easy....until they get on the phone to their usual suppliers and find out the hard way !

Never heard of Zaks, but then again I never chased after market fairings.
Why don't you try terry hayes at shock tech (in sydney) he built the 954 for Josh Brookes, they may have contacts.

The fairings for the Castrol bikes were done by Racers Edge.......but I just can't justify paying $1200 for a set of fairings ( which is roughly what Racer's Edge charge )

The problem is, Racers edge only made them coz they supplied the factory Honda team last year. They were about the only guys racing 954's so nobody else was gonna make them to sell maybe 1 set. Racers edge charge a **** load, coz they GAVE the farings to Honda, and have to recoup the money somehow. One of my mates runs Xsportz.com and they do farings. I thought he'd have some but same deal, "for what, to sell one set? No thanks".

Have you tried Sharkskinz.com? I had a set for my 929, and I have a set for my 600RR. Plus they have the Erion upper available with the ram air ducts for the 954.

Hmmmm....would that be you Trev ?......if so....suprised you didn't recognise the question....as I asked the same thing to you not so long ago ( and that was when you found out Moose didn't do the 954 fairings ! )

Hey Trev....just checked your website and saw that you are now the distributor for Arata and Sato........NICE MOVE !!.....you can pretty much count on guys from this site being interested in both brands......they get AWESOME reviews here !!!

Still waiting on your friggin stickers. Now I'm nota Honda dealer (not for long anyway) I think they forget about me a little. haha

p.s. Moose....I loved the Micron System I got for my SP1 that was originally yours ( through Trev )....sounded great and lots of grunt....now if only some weasely thief hadn't pissed off with the whole bike I'd still be a happy camper because, if that was the case, I could actually get a fairing off you !!

What else you gettin for your bike?

Not getting too much else.....maybe some rearsets......maybe the Factory Pro stacks.......will probably just concentrate on getting my suspension right ( I'm sure I'll pick up more time that way !! )

Just a quick note to let you know that Racers Edge sell 954 Fireblade fairing sets for $AUD850. Our sets include an upper, bellypan, screen (most other suppliers don't include the screen) front guard, ductail (road seat or race seat) and Dzus fasteners.

Perhaps your pricing comes from a recent AMCN feature where they referred to Racers Edge fairings for $1200 - that was painted and stickered!
Just to set the record straight we do not give our fairings away for free to anyone! not even Honda Australia who we sponsored last year.
