Here's a 1994 BMW project I'm working on:

Son comes home from Uni.

Him: Dad, there's a strange sort of grinding noise coming from the right hand side of the motor

Me: Oh bollocks

So I'm attempting to rebuild the motor. Balancer shaft earing has failed. Just hoping it hasn't wrecked the big end bearing.
