17 Ave (pics)

Just thought I'd post some pics from after the Flames wiped out the Sharks. Go Flames Go !!
The last one is hilarious. A cop caught these 2 girls with open alcohol and made them chug instead of dumping them out. 35 000 people on that street. What a crazy night.

Hey easy there. Every team has there die hard intelligent core fans. You can lump us all in together. That is like seeing some squid do a burn out on a honda and assume everyone who rides a honda is the same.

PS Calgary is an easy team to become a bandwagon fan. They are a bunch of decent players (not great) that are playing together as a great team.
You can spend years and millions and not be able to put together a team like Calgary (or Tampa). Their run this year is a ture great story still being writen.

Re: 17 Ave (pics)

When I bought my season tickets at the beginning of the year, I would have been happy even if they didn't make the playoffs, as long as they were close. But this is unreal.

Hey Kuss, I'm going to assume you're a "diehard" fan of the Wings. But remember, you're in an area where the sport shops should pass out pogo sticks and trampolines for all the ""FANS"" jumping on and off the Cujo bandwagon!!!! IMHO, the Detroit fans who jump are only rivaled by the Habs fans.

A DETROIT FAN?????
Men have died for calling me that. I am the biggest anti-detroit fan there is. Which given my current location has given me a pretty tough exterior. I bleed blue through and through. I have got into some heated arguments with "Red Wing fans" (read: like hockey since they won a few cups) about the whole Hockeytown bull crap. Toronto or Montreal are the only two places which should hold that name. I am going to stop now before I rant on and fill up the .org's server. I forgive you for you oversight but never let it happen again.

I like your style.

I'm a Habs fan but only because I was growing up. They haven't ceased to disappoint me in years; they always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. *sigh* To you from failing hands we throw the torch...

Newfie, I'd say the Toronto fans needed the KuJo pogosticks when he was in town. The guy is a good goalie, I'm not a fan, but his fans should give the guy some consistent credit - he deserves it.

(I do, however, like Detroit but as my 3rd or so favourite team. They've got more experience and skill on any given line than most teams have on the roster.)

Re: 17 Ave (pics)

You can actually get season tickets in Calgary???

Here in toronto you have to inherit sp? season tickets or marry in to them.

It suck, sometimes I wish that Toronto, Buffalo and Detroit would let Hamilton get a team.

I went there on my bike...and even though the cop told me I would have problems getting out, my gf convinced me to park my bike on 17th ave. Well needless to say I was stuck after the game...but I did manage to plow my way thru the crowd...even was on tv
people were chanting, and tapping my helmet as I was slowing going thru.
